Also went for the Trimui. It's €69 at Aliexpress atm 128GB and shipping incl (Holland). For a first retro device it seemed a no brainer. The Pocket 2 is way more exp here for some reason. That said, never was much of a gamer, other than NFS 😊
I have never used a handheld, but after watching Rob's reviews of them I at least now understand them better and the issues. This one seems like a nice unit for the money, but the screen ratio seems as though it would be a deal-breaker if one plays 4x3 or vertical games most of the time. I'm glad alternatives were suggested if a 4x3 screen was wanted.
This is a good one. Feels and run premium for the price. Biggest issue is the triggers are terrible… but this doesn’t really emulate much that uses triggers.
The D-pad and Screen are superb on this. The speakers aren't really front-facing, they're inside the device. If you cover the speaker openings on the front you can discover this yourself; the audio isn't lowered (or muffled) when covered. One thing that they must add in a future update is the option to turn off menu sounds. They get annoying very quickly and currently the only way to mute them is to lower the main volume on the device itself. That means that you need to put the volume back up in games - this should be addressed.
Fewtarius did tell me that they might bring JELOS to this Handheld. So Portmaster support may become available. That would be a good use of the 16:9 screen.
My only complaint for this Handheld is we need Standard-alone emulators to boot gameplay performance for this Handheld when playing N64, and Dreamcast games.
I like this one and thank you for recommendations to calibrate a left joystick (I ran into the same issue after updating) and auto frame skip in God of war worked for me too! It became playable at least
Can u plz test Tomb Raider Anniversary on psp? Since it's a very hard game to emulate and the frame rate can be a problem . Does it work well on this triumi smart pro ? Playable? Please test it and let me know in the comments ? Thx
If you stretch out the other systems (even GB) to full screen and get rid of the bezels they look awesome! Playing vertical games is the best! Just rotate them (and the controls) put them on full screen and not only do they look great, but if I use the d-pad with my left hand and the buttons with my right, I can play for hours without my thumbs cramping up, like on a traditional vertical device. I've had mine for just over a week, and am just loving it! 😎
@@Robtech Well, I've got both Super Mario Bros and Defender from Gameboy at full screen, and they look great! I suppose not everything will work out, but I haven't really come across anything that looks terrible in full screen yet.
Launch game, press menu button, advanced menu, core options, GPU plugin, enhanced resolution. To save it, go back until you're at the main menu in retroarch, scroll down to configuration file, save current configuration.
