💡 SUGGESTION: Use the wall where you have the futon. Make a large worktable with little cubbies to hold your boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap, etc. Then put shelves above it for baskets with tape, ribbon, glue and other packing supplies. I wouldn't save the space for visitors that you might have once in a blue moon. Use the RV for guests. Since it's something you'll need to make your work go more smoothly, I'd rather utilize the whole space as a workshop. No need to keep half of the room unused when you can streamline your business more efficiently.
You need a packing/shipping table/area where all your packing/shipping supplies are within reach. You need an area where you place the items that are ready to go to the post office. Label the sizes of shipping bags and boxes on the edge of the shelf. Open shelving would work and make one shelf where you will stand to ship your orders to be like a drop leaf table where the leaf comes up, is secured flat. I hope that makes sense. If you build this as your working area, I think you need to have the area where the futon is located, made into a long work counter with cabinets on the bottom and shelving from counter to the ceiling. It will give you an area to sort, pack and ship orders. You could also use the area above the sink with shelving all across. This is if the room is truly a working area. Love you guys. Hey Steph, I grew up barrel racing, we were a rodeo family. You don't necessarily have to be "born into it." Everyone has to start somewhere. You could ask her riding instructor about what they call "playdays" which are like mini rodeos not super serious, anyone can enter. They have different age groups for different events. Sometimes the 4H will sponsor them and sometimes cowboy churches will sponsor some as well. It would be a good start to see if she likes it. She could do barrel racing and pole bending as well.
Can you get a little seating couch with drawers instead of the futon?? Can you extend the hanging shelves 3 down that wall?? Can you add more of those shelves that hang on the opposite wall? Love the decorations you"ve done...

Gonna Mom you Steph, you made it for work space , yet you've beautifully decorated it like you home space. So make it work space and use decor space for it then decorate it. All the amazing decor will find a place, 1st what you need, use and for business then decor.....I get it though, you did amazing, but un "Stage" it for living and "stage" it for work 🤣 your so typical wed all did that then make buddy to add on to the barn😂

Everything looks great. Can you build a counter Along the wall that is shared with Buddy’s office. This would give you more storage as well as a counter to box up the orders .
I would say it's a bit industrial, thinking of the wall you did and the wall with the shelving on is also industrial with the pipes. Just me though. Whatever style it is it's so well done and very tasteful ❤

Stephanie I didn't see this live but a solution for stacks of boxes for shipping is going up. There are overhead storage solutions that I think would help you out. Not in your finished space but overhead in the storage part of the barn some have a pulley system so you don't have to get up on a ladder

My sister was in 4-H from the time she was about 10% she was absolutely horse crazy. Nobody else in the family was nor. She has a wonderful leader 43:01 43:10 who was so wonderful. She would haul her pony to horse shows. I don’t know if 4H is in Texas but it was great for my sister. They had a huge bunch of kids in her club . They were such a close group, several who stayed friends all through their life’s.

Have y'all given any thought to putting up premier electric fencing around your hen house? Cog Hill Farm and White House on the hill have very good luck with them. Just a thought
My granddaughter just started that this last year and she was 15 now 16. She was friends with a little girl that had done it awhile so she did have a little insight. But she loves it.
