The scariest thing as a hunter main it is survivors that hide so well at the beginning and you get cipher rushed before finding someone else to chase 😔☝️

I actually suggest for beginners to start out with hunter, since if you learn how to play the game from the hunter's perspective it's much easier to transition to survivor, since you can see what survivors are doing to verse you. If you start out as a survivor, switching to hunter would be much harder, since you only know how survivor's will react from how you play survivor. I'm not sure if I explained that right, but yeah.

just some kiting tips from a ex b badge minds eye! - always change how you kite (for example loop around a pallet, the hunter will then think that you will not be pallet camping, only pallet camp if the hunter is very near you) - take a hit then risk a terror shock - if you play decoders (excluding prisinor) hide if the hunter is near you/spawn somewhere the hunter is near, most decoders have pallet/window vault speed debuffs - learn dungeon locations - learn strong kiting routes this is all i could think of right now

For the newer surv mains, make sure not to decode immediately, wait out a bit. Also make sure to check out the area. Like lookout for cameras(Joseph) and gear parts (Smiley face). For newer surv mains again, if you're kiting a hunter that can't do chip damage (hunters like Galatea and bonbon are hunters that can do chip damage) i would recommend to hide behind pallets. For hunters like Ann it's better to drop the pallet early. For both factions, look at guides for all the characters, even those you don't main. It'll give you an advantage on knowing what other players might do and you can think of how to counter it in advance. For Both factions, if your device is low end/ laggy, turn down the graphics to performance and set everything to minimum. Also make sure the server you're in corresponds to your actual location. For newer surv mains, Play the game with earphones/headphones. Some hunters have sound queues you can hear from across the map(like Wu Chang's umbrella, and BQ's Mirror) For newer hunter mains, It's also advised to wear earphones/headphones. Especially while going against The Mind's Eye as you can hear her cane from across the map. Another tip for newer hunter mains, a lot of stuns can be avoided without excitement (a trait that blocks stuns from pallets, enchant, coord , forward etc.) Flare guns can be avoided by walls and sometimes even rocket chairs. Painter's paintings can be avoided by turning your camera to the other side.

If your playing explorer, mind’s eye or sometimes mech, you will want to hide. Explorer is just really hard to find, mind’s eye can see the hunter which helps with hiding and they have a hard time with kiting so hiding well can save more time. Depending on your play style you might want to hide the doll at the start or hide yourself if you know the hunter is coming to you. If you are a rescue character don’t hide but break line of sight. Hunters don’t want to chase merc so you can waste their time just for them to transition away once they know who you are. Even if you take a less safe route like going behind shack, you have abilities to save you if you are rescue.

Main tip: have a good cellphone or pc who can handle idv, cuz every year the game becomes more "heavy" and laggy

I will say I play idv with no audio and I feel like when I first started playing that was a huge disadvantage for me. But now since I’ve been playing for a while it feels like I’ve gotten better at spatial awareness in game like I know I can’t hear but Im always watching for subtle things. I’m always aware of where the hunter is even if it’s from a long distance or where my teammates are. The only downside I usually have is that I never hear when a hunter is vaulting so I have to make sure I see them vault just in case so they can’t mind game me.

Another tip beginners who don't know Kite always lead the hunter towards their team deliberately thinking the hunter will change the target of course he won't, by doing that you are betraying your team, please don't do that, it's better to die faster than leading the hunter to your team because the hunter takes time to even He finds other survivors and it will be to your advantage and you may get a tie but In the worst case his cipher may be 89%, but because of you made him leave it and then come back to it just to complete it. It's a waste of time don't do it

If only newbies and beginners would watch thats video- like the pop in low rank when i was going rescue- and the obe who pop instead of following me for escape hide and die :D the mind eyes (newbie too i think) and me were only good players pls as for me i rank rarely and i main Prospector, so im pretty average in skills ig

Tip: TL;DR : Force pallet break, be aware of which windows are there or not. When kiting and you pull a pallet down and there's a window nearby (i.e. L and T wall kiting areas or Shack) try to always force a pallet break so that you can vault peacefully within the hunter's pallet breaking animation. If they have fast pallet breaking always be near the window so that they will need to commit to the inside of shack or the inside of a T and L wall to which you can transition perfectly fine to another kiting area, like Arms Factory main building/(Aka mid area Triple Pallet) House pallets or Red church pallets near one of the windows. I may not have a badge in any character, but this is what i can give to beginners

Everything good but the hiding thing is completely wrong , if you know the hunter is going to you , you should either hide to waste time or transition to waste time.

Master the following survivors 1) forward 2) cowboy 3) acrobat You can literally play any survivors after Master them. For hunters master the 5 OG hunters. 1)Hell ember. 2) smiley face 3) gamekeeper 4) ripper 5) soul Weaver. You can almost play any hunter, except dream witch, mad eyes, clerk.
