One more thing...a lot of inexperienced players tend to look without their crosshair.. What I mean is, a lot of people try to snap onto their targets AFTER they’ve spotted a enemy. ALWAYS look at the CENTER of your crosshair when looking around. I guarantee you’ll be more consistent with your shots. Relax your arm and hand when playing, be more fluid.

yep once you've played long enough you'll subconsciously look at your crosshair everytime. you'll develop a feel of where your crosshair is without looking too much at the center anymore, combine that with muscle memory and that is how you make those sudden flicks that make you go "wait i actually killed him?"

Maybe you should add that the counterstrafe works with W and S aswell, although infinitely harder and most people choose to make a sidestep when getting caught in forward or backward movement (even pros, i see it all the time)

thanks for the tips flom! did not know you are accurate while moving crouched that has helped me a ton! one thing i was curious about in counter strafing was does it have the same effect if you hold the a and d keys? like strafe with d then hold a at the same time you stop, but do you stop the same way/speed that you would stop just letting go and then tapping the other key? hopefully that question makes sense and any help is appreciated.

That is really accurate counter strafe aiming, because he’s shooting 2 shots - it takes ages and a lot of practice and absolutely perfect timing to the few milliseconds to get the 2nd bullet to be as accurate as the first. A lot of inexperienced counter strafers doing this type of 2 bullet burst shooting end up having their 2nd bullet way off from the first, essentially making the 2nd bullet irrelevant - but that is the whole point of practice.

@@beeeeeej It just feels like you're slower. There's no secret way to "swing harder" in csgo. When others swing out there's the problem of perspective, connection delay etc that makes their peek look faster. When in reality, they also feel as if their peeks aren't as fast.

If I use W and A while knife out , and use only D to counter strafe will I drop my speed down to 125 quicker or it had no impact at all. I tried that with cl pos but I cannot tell if it work or not.

Wow, I have about 330 hours on CSGO so far (currently MG2), while that's nothing compared to a lot of people, it is still a bit of time on a game. And through all that time I don't think I've ever utilized the strafe crouch method. Definitely going to start testing the waters with it. I thought this would be just another simple video honestly, but I actually learned some valuable knowledge!

I find that a lot of players crouch when they messed up the first half or so of their spray. I personally rather get back into cover to reengage later, and if you crouch at the wrong time, you just become a sitting duck.

My experience as guy who have played since 1.15 mod on half-life.. this is second most important thing to learn as player… how to take corner angles is more important than this… 3.rd would be teamwork with utility. Aiming skill would be somewhere in 5 - 7 spot in list if you want to make one that is that long.

Its hard to explain counter strafing to new players because we normally talk to players that atleast have a decent amount of experience about counter strafing so using other terms for new players is quite hard

It takes a lot of practice to do that but sometimes I spam w when going forward so I don't have to counter it by pressing s, I'll only have to press a or d. Pressing 2 movement keys at once makes it really hard to counter strafe

I liked "f" But i found out (now) that this leads into problems when you player against better players, bc some special kinds of crouch-peaks become harder. For MM still enouth.
