Martha, I added this to my routine last night and it's gorgeous. Since coming across your videos and incorporating Somatics into my life I just keep feeling better and better all the time - hips and SI joints are happy, walking is a joy again and now I'll be adding improved breathing to that list, wow. My time on the mat every day is so relaxing I keep wondering if one of these days I'm going to fall asleep there, ha! Your work is very much appreciated, thank you.
Thank you so much, Christine! I did this sequence for myself this morning as well, and it makes a HUGE difference in the rest of my movement practice. Don't forget that we're starting online classes this week. I would love to meet you in class! Stay healthy.
You're so welcome! When we learn to expand and control our breathing we are less likely to fall into panic and fear. Your immune system will thank you!
@@EssentialSomatics Thanks Marta! Doing it without waiting for a specific result is for me the greatest challenge but at the same time the greatest gift.
Thank you so much! Consider attending some online classes; you'll learn even more to help keep you going through these troubled times and thereafter. It's time to gain skills for life so we can all be more resilient!
You're very welcome. It's amazing how you can feel when you release your ribs and find more breath. This awareness can be applied to all the movements you learn going forward.
Yoga can be a very wonderful method that, depending on your teacher, can be beautifully combined with Somatic Movement. I'm so glad you're enjoying learning more. I think you would enjoy our online classes! Check them out here on the Essential Somatics website: essentialsomatics.com/essential-somatics-online-classes
