I’m less than 3 minutes in and you drop a gem, to use items in your decor that have some meaning to you. Thank you for this, I’m shocked how many people will go out and buy ‘things’ just for decor that they have absolutely no attachment to whatsoever……..why? I marvel at how little I actually purchase for decor because I love what I already have and will occasionally buy new things to freshen up my space. Other than that it’s more the process of rotating items in and out and moving things around. New subbie here!
Yes! I love the look of a home that has been collected over time rather than one that was pulled together solely from Amazon Prime. Thank you for the follow!! 🫶🏼
I've just discovered your channel. It's a jewel! Thank you so much for your content. And I really enjoyed your soft manner of sharing ideas. Subscribed! 🌷
I am a new subscriber as of today watching your video! I very much like your design and did a fabulous job of bringing your Visio together. The darker table, the beadboard green you chose and the artwork perfect! Look forward to another of your videos!😊
Too much symmetry lacks fractal continuation. It is why square rooms create boundaries that create imprisonment. When you introduce a large window wih a nice view you create expansiveness. Fung shui deals with these issues. Right angles and straight lines create stagnation…..odd numbers of things break up the straight lines🇨🇦
I have antique dresser and side tables. My husband painted them black and gold. I want to paint them with the more than paint. So I don’t have to sand.
That's totally doable! I'm experimenting with a product called Retique It. It is basically paintable wood, no sanding or prep work required, and it's stainable too!
@@Secretgardenvintageapartmenti must say this light switch is distracting me during the video, that’s what I look at while she speaks 😂 But I’d never bring this comment, but since were talking about it… A part from that, GOLD content!
@secretgardenvintageapartment @bvargassk @cynthiahunter6588 My first RU-vid controversy: Light Switch 😂 To address the builder grade wall plates and lack of decor, I just moved into this apartment and I’m filming videos for each room makeover. I agree that they are ugly lol. I’m saving those kinds of upgrades for my living room makeover video. I did however, purchase all new wall plates already. And you’ll all be thrilled to know that my next video does not have ANY light switches in the background 🫶🏼😂

Thank you for these wonderful tips. I'm a 60 year old woman who has forever used these tips! Friends have always told me that I'm good at using what I have. I've never had the money to redecorate so I use what I have to make a change. That advice can relate to all parts of your life, not just your home. All the best sweetie!
Even numbers looks purposeful. And if you think about nature, it is never like that. There are no straight lines, flowers are scattered through a lawn, there are no natural trees in the forest that stand like soldiers in a row. So odd numbers that are scattered or clustered looks more natural.
New subscriber here! I agree to the previous comments. You should have more followers! I’m not easily impressed on here because there is so much content but yours stand out and are VERY practical. You are in your way up! Pouring coffee and about to binge watch all your videos ❤
A pleasure watching your video. I actually just came to hear shop your home. It's a catchy phrase. I wonder who came up with it? I've started moving my things around and it's fun and I'm pleased with the results of that catchy phrase.
My first video of yours and I loved it. I knew all these things but many people don’t. I’m not saying I have all of them in practice yet… lol! Oh on the window cleaning thing- am I wrong- those are very expensive newer windows that do that. Like double hung windows! If it is actually that easy on my windows, Imma doing it this weekend! Just subscribed!
Thank you for the comment and the follow! My old place didn't have windows like this so I would pay my little brother to clean them! We were on the first floor though so it was easy for him to reach. But I highly recommend hiring a bored kid for some cheap labor XD
