Craftsim is a new addon to me as I didn't play Dragonflight, but I used TSM a lot in Shadowlands which helped me make a couple of million at the start before I quit (should probably have been more based on my 17k gem stock among other things I found in my dedicated alts guild bank). I've made about 800k so far in War Within, but I feel I've missed out without using any operations or the power of TSM except for market prices. I'll for sure check out your profile and see what I can do with it. I only had my two first blue crafted tools created yesterday and no profession actually at 100 yet. Just a lot to learn with all the changes since Shadowlands and your videos are very helpful.
Great vid - The Profit value that is shown by default, is that the minimum Quality I can make it? When I go to the item and switch the Quality down below, the profit changes?
Great vid as usual penguin, I have one question, when I mass mailing cuffs for disenchanting tsm for some reason is bugging , some cuffs go grey and the whole process stops sending the cuffs..do you have any idea on how to solve this? Thank you ❤

I'm not a crafter yet, I just gather and I wanted to do some buy and sell things (is it what you call flipping ?). For this, should I only use ''Operations'', then auctionning ? Yes, posting with the materials auctioning operation will keep in mind your smartavgbuy for flipping. You can set up shopping operations if youd like to quickly search for groups of items with specific parameters to buy

This is SO HELPFUL! omg But I still have a question. You said it only has the T5 crafts of gear and profession tools. What happens if I can't create those yet? Do I only need to add the lower tier ones to the same group.., to a different group.., or do I need to remove/replace the higher tier ones I can't craft? Do you happen to know a trick how to add a tier 4 gear item to the group without needing to have it in your bags? I would like to not craft every item once to add it (if possible)
You can just add the lower levels to the same group. You can search for the item in “Base Group”. Be sure to have Item Level selected as your grouping method, then just add the correct item level. If you don’t see the item level you the looking for, TSM might not have it in its cache. Just search the AH for the item in the TSM view and it should show up!

Hey Great video! Super new to wow and TSM. When im looking at the TSM ui for crafting, none of the profits show up. The whole column is just blank. I know it could probably be a lot of things, but any suggestions?

it's 6m and on the Black market auction house so the highest bidder wins. unless you have massive alt armies or tons of backlogged transmog you will not make that money within reasonable time. Its unrealistic expectations and only sets you up for failure. If you wanna make big cash you absolutely need to play the start of an expansion. that's where you make millions really fast but one look at the craftig interface now or any recipe scans shows you that the only "profitable" crafts are the ones that have sellrates of less than 10 per day and those even only have like 50g per craft and ur most likely sitting on the item.
Thanks again, inspired me to do some cleanup of my operations which had become overly convoluted when I last was serious about moneymaking in Shadowlands. I have been making prof gear and selling it on my main realm (where all my crafters are) and a few different realms. However, I can't get the other realms to use my crafting costs so have had to resort to hardcoding minimum price levels for those other realms (using a different profile). I know TSM has an issue with sharing crafting costs across faction but is there something I'm missing that would enable me to use my crafting costs across realms.
@@Penguinr2gt That's a bummer, for giggles replicated the crafting calculation in an Auctioning operation as a workaround (for posting at least). Not sure motivated enough to do for more than a few items

Ive logged on all of my twinks and opened the profession tab - but it wont work :( Is there anythin i can do? Tahnks :)
I find working on Discord very confusing, I thought I had joined your discord before but when I tried to do the verification I just couldnt figure out how to do it. I wish I could get the setup in another way but I appreciate your work in creating it and I guess Ill just have to muddle along.
If I don't buy mats often, should I remove smartavgbuy from my auction operation when selling materials? It's holding onto prices I've paid in the past but I generally farm what I need so it won't post raw mats because my smartavgbuy is too high
Sure, if you dont want that metric calculated in, you can easily remove it and just keep it simply dbrecent. In the future if you buy items to flip (mounts, pets, toys, collectibles, etc.) you can add those into their own flipping group and apply a SmartAvgBuy auctioning operation
I've just hit 80 this week I'm a bit behind but I got a concentration build for enchanting to craft T3 and have been making some money there do you have any suggestions for my second profession? I'm just a bit lost at some options i don't mind concentration crafts but maybe gear crafting could be interesting also or alchemy potions?
The only reason I have this addon is to show crafting cost on items and disenchanting items profits. I have done the full scans I have it listed in the tooltip for both crafting cost and disenchanting and its still doesnt show up on items not on the mana oils or the greens/blues I have to disenchant. I don't understand how this addon is always so frustrating to use.

Hey Penguin, I'm a total discord noob, I joined the TSM channel/group and think I have verified myself but for the life of me can't find the -free-tools channel you mention in the video (if I have to add the penguin emoji how do I do that?). I tried searching for posts by you but it either didn't go back far enough or it only shows the few. I tried looking for anything on the TSM website you linked but I only joined as a free user so not sure if that is why I can only find penguin pets. Any help by you or fellow gamers would be greatly appreciated as I'm just a 50 gamer and not a tech savvy one at that. I will admit I have only watched the video up to getting and importing the string/file so if theirs answers to my questions later in the video I'm sorry for wasting peoples time. man i still dont get it, i got the desktop app now, everythings set up i think, but when i want to restock groups, i pick tailoring, it says 6 groups selected, total items: 32, but when i click restock group s my queue is still empty. what did i do wrong?
also as a example dawnweave bolt(2) says 41g profit with a average sale price of 383g and a crafting cost of:333g 33s but exquisite weavercloth bolt is 216g per pice so the 2 i need are already 432g and more than the selling price of the dawnweave bolt? and of course more than the shown crafting cost? i really try to understand but its really a bit complicated. thanks alot for your help
using TSM to sell mats if like asking to get ripped off. There are people who constantly every few seconds posts few items way below price to bait TSM to post at a low price and quickly scalp up the flips. Must use auctionator when selling mats to bypass this trap.
People do not post at low prices to bait TSM, they are doing it to bait people who use the normal AH and just simply right click, post. If you have your Auctioning Operation Min Price where you want it, TSM will not post below that. You will not be baited.
