Hey gadget lady :) I have an unrelated question. Knowing what you know now, would you have done anything differently to take better care of your shoulder/rotator cuff as a younger athlete?

Yes, I would have worked way more on shoulder stabilization exercises and I would have also worked with biomechanic analysis to see if anything could have been improved.

Get some stretch bands and keep in your bag and wrap arout net post and warm up your shoulder every time before hitting. It has helped me, I had some rotator cuff problems last year. Mostly chasing high backhands

Meike, do you feel like you can't hit the device with a full, match-level swing? I feel like I'd be afraid to break something.

I wouldn't go full out to be honest. But you can very realistically swing. I actually like that you can't just whack it full go because it forces me to be really deliberate with the small "good" details.

Can you make high enough to work on shoulder height balls? I guess you could always put it on a carboard box? If you're working on putting away short balls, how do you adjust your use of the gadget so you're not hitting the same as a baseline drive?

Yes, that is a shortcoming, you can't adjust it to very high. The lowest setting is actually quite low (usually meant for kids) so it could be used for that I reckon. It think a cardboard box would probably be a little too unstable. More like a card table. Let me think about this and play around with it. Maybe if can fix it to the fence somehow...

Is the angle of the blade adjustable?

No but you can take them off so you can work on more or less topspin

@@MeikeBabelTennis I think the blade there is quite important, it gives you the cue on how the swing path should be. Maybe you can relay the idea to them if you agree with me ?

@@MeikeBabelTennis I suppose you could prop the front 2 legs up on something (a step, equal sized books) to angle it back a bit further. As long as you don't lean it too far or hit it too hard it would probably still be quite stable.

Just got one as an early birthday present based mainly on your video (no pressure but you've ruined my birthday if it's no good 😂). Thanks for your videos - as a middle-aged newbie I love the content even if much of it is too advanced for me. Have you thought about getting the Topspin Pro company to add your "realistic practice" video to their resources section? Would be great for them and presumably for your channel (which I am really surprised doesn't have more subs). Best wishes from the UK!
