Improved Way to Carry Yarn Up When Knitting Back and Forth 

Thank you so much, loved your explanation and I was very pleased, because despite being self-taught in these matters, (I've been knitting and crocheting for many years) this is exactly what I did to my husband's sweater (which he liked a lot) but it had a wide waistband and cuffs..... I take this opportunity to say that i used this method to adjust the crochet waist of shorts that I made for my 3 granddaughters this summer. Flawless!. Love your tutorials!!

That's a very neat way of carrying up the yarn and it's great that it doesn't affect the stretch of the fabric.

Thank you! Saved for future reference, like when I’m working in a shawl (hmmm, or a cardigan w stripes…!). If I’m making a shawl & using a larger needle (looser fabric), cutting & weaving in ends doesn’t always look the best. This technique is perfect! And bonus tip w I-cord edges! Perfect!

I'll definitely be using this for my next stripey shawl! I just finished one and wish I'd known this trick 😂
