The Organ:
Marshall & Ogletree Opus 15, originally built for Trinity Wall Street and heard there daily for 15 years, has a spectacular new home at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament on W. 71st Street (near Broadway), in New York City. The instrument is two fully independent organs, one in the gallery and the other in the chancel, playable separately or together, as desired.
The amazing tonal properties of the organs, voiced note-by-note for Blessed Sacrament’s unique acoustics, are on full display here, courtesy of award-winning organist, Jason Roberts, and his jaw-dropping improvisational skill!
