For picking the grades I asked my mom pick 4 random numbers between 1 and 7, she just went, “ 4, 2, 7 and 1,” not realising she made me do an octave, and I made sure it sounded beautiful. (I’ll even play it for her birthday
Remember to also move your wrist and your arm - these should be the ones giving you your movement across wide intervals, instead of the fingers alone. Almost like an invisible string tugs on your wrist to the right or to the left, and your hand - because of how the wrist was tugged by the invisible string - moves at the same speed, in the same direction. Playing the correct note at a slow speed is more important. The speed will come it might just take a few days or even a little longer. Be patient with yourself. You could also just practice that specific jump over and over being as slow as it needs to be to maintain accuracy of course. You’ve got this. 👊🎹
