A Halloween impulse buy special. The Wood Witch. With Halloween coming up wood turners can find it difficult to come up with impulse buy items. Wands or pumpkins are a mainstay for this time of year but the amount of time pumpkins take bring them out of the realm of impulse buy. A wood turned witch make a great impulse buy item.

They are great especially for practice Len, you end up with a nice piece and if it goes wrong you have not wrecked an expensive piece of wood. Shay

H Shay, Thank you very much for the shout out, really appreciate it. I'm loving this series. Fantastic tip of slowing the lathe right down to get rid of the spiral. I have used YG without first sanding sealing it, by mistake, and the result was great. Take care Shay and thanks again. Cheers, Huw

As always, love the impulse buy instructional! Lots of good advice! I think I might have to steal the idea for the roughing gouge! I really liked that.
