With our 2022 450 Shootout wrapped up, we wanted to dive deep into the pros and cons of each bike individually. Take a listen as we discuss how the 2022 Kawasaki #KX450 placed in our #450Shootout and why.
We have three different versions of our 2022 450 Shootout: a complete article on VitalMX.com, a short and sweet video where we briefly cover how all seven bikes are placed, and these bike-specific videos. Make sure to keep an eye out as we release the rest of the line-up as the week goes on.

Afrer Kawasaki fixed the clutch the bike it’s almost perfect. Yamaha its prety good too. I really don’t know how someone can put this bike in 6th place. Looking foward to the special edition!

there should be no issues with production bikes at this point it is not 1983 they have had 40 years to perfect the frame suspension MOTORS wheels and CLUTCH it all should be BULLETPROOF period

@@IIW4RHAWKII i rode it for only like an hour unfortunately, i’ve been sick. but i’m coming off a 2019 crf 250 and it’s my first 450 so i definitely still need to learn the power, but it’s also a super smooth power delivery. the bike is completely different shaped and rides different than my last so i gotta get that down too but what i learned was that it handles stupid great and it corners phenomenally and i think once i get comfy with the power i’m going to love it

@@mclovin9234 kawi rips I have a 2020 kx450 love it - I adjusted my forks with clickers and fixed any softness. These guys just following yamaha trends lol

I have a 2021 kx450, last bike was a 2019 husky. I wouldn’t trade the kx for any bike on the track. I am racing it all stock with great results. You notice fork softness when you get on the front brake hard but once comfortable with it diving, you can use it to cut under anyone. Or just keep it pegged on the outside, chassis is brilliant, I hope they keep it similar for 23

I love mine. But. I resprung it for my weight and probably gonna send the suspension off to get tuned for me. Changed the fork fluid once and it was dirty so I'm getting some hours on it.

Love these videos. If your gonna pull a new bike of the showroom floor and have the suspension tuned, this bike like most of the other big brands, is probably solid. I rode my 18 yz450f for one season on the stock valving. Dialed it in. Then did a race tech gold valve set up. Worked on dialing that in and is now sooo good. If you can take a bike like mine that "out of the box", has some of the best performing suspe suspension and handling characteristics and make it even better, well imo the sky is the limit for this kawi and the rmz etc
@Tew730
@Tew730 Год назад
the manufacturers have had 40 years to develop suspension and the whole package in the four stroke -suck era its been 13 years and they still cant produce suspension that is perfect out of the box-there is no excuse a box stock bike should not require anything no tuning or wheels etc suspension should be perfect by now as should everything else 12 inches of travel has been around for 40= years and like i said should be perfect and flawless this is 2022 it is not 1983 anymore and the price of mxers is totally out of control my first 250 was a fraction of current model cost and btw the purchase should include at least the shops custom jersey

@@Tew730 way overpriced for sure. My Personal example as follows..... My last 3 new bikes...... (1) 2004 YZ250 2 stroke = $5400. (2) 2007 YZ450F = $4799 (bought new in 08 as a dealership leftover) (3) 2018 YZ450f = $8100 (also bought as new leftover in 2019)

Put some oil in the forks. It's easy, super cheap & not unreasonable to do. 380cc fixes the bottoming & the rebound slows down as well. This lets you run the rebound out more for better performance in the chop & the added oil keeps it from popping up from deep stroke. I wish these reviews would allow for simple changes that ANY rider who's gonna hit a track would do. These ARE track bikes. Use the parameters in the owners manual like oil levels, springs, sprockets, etc. 380cc of oil in the forks improve this bike immensely.

Well virtually nobody gets a race bike and leaves the suspension stock!! I mean if you race you get a suspension set up. So the stock suspension is irrelevant if you ask me!
