Great channel, I just came across your page. Sorry for the dumb question but is replay gain its own software or a feature inside of the software? I found replay gain in Foobar2000 but this looks different. I'm trying to balance out the levels to a batch of a few 100 songs and I'm not hearing a difference in foobar replay gain. Your help would be appreciated!

Stupidest method ever! All albums are mastered differently, that applies to those from the same author.Have you heard of applying the album gain to each album with loudest song being the value for the album gain?! This has been explained by Bob Katz and published a long time ago...

Just read that for our ears to work the best for music, 80-85db is where you should generally listen to music - that’s where the mastering engineers listen... I find I liked to play at 85db before I read that.
