Less updates, not everyone likes huge displays on phones, the 8a is way more powerful, the 8a has all the A.I. options from the 8, cameras have no match on the 8a, should i keep going ? Also just because the a55 has that Exynos trash of a chipset it makes it really bad out of the box.
@@KoalaBeer. Lmao no, Galaxy A series phones do not have any AI from galaxy S series 😂. The pixel 8a does have all the AI from the 8. The screen is huge no matter what you say and Tensor are not exynos, if you know nothing about this subject why are you even talking ?
@alexgreg152 actually both have majour ups and downs 1.camera- -8a>a55(although night stuff is the opposite lol) 2.display- -8a is a bit brighter BUT, a55 uses c.gorilla glass victus + while pixel only has the c.gorilla glass 3(from 2012 actually) bezels wise 8a is a bit too much 3.performance - both on par actually, even though 8a has tensor 3,it is underclocked to stop the chip cooking itself and to save up battery a55 soc however is balanced in terms of heat and performance and battery life ofc 4.battery-** def a55 >> 8a (a55 uses li-ion technology while the 8a uses li- poly which degrades faster) 5.long term usage- - I think a55>8a cuz a55 is new and has 5yrs of updates -8a offers 7yrs . u will have to change the battery multiple times* (and 99%is gonna buy a new phone before 3-5 yrs lol) -8a has a plastic back(I think it's good cuz glass is glass and glass breaks lol) overall I think a55 is better value but if you find both in the same value tend a lil to the 8a -recently a55 got like some AI stuff from it's big brothers from a update.
Hey there! Just wanted to share some thoughts on these two phones for you to keep in mind: 1. Camera: - 8a > a55 (though a55 takes better photos at night) 📷 2. Display: - 8a is a tad brighter, but a55 uses "Corning Gorilla Glass Victus plus" while the 8a only has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 (which is from 2012, actually). The bezels on 8a are a bit too much. 📱 so u must slap a Screen Protector and a case on 8a 3. Performance: - Both are on par. even though 8a has Tensor 3, it is underclocked to prevent overheating and save battery. The a55 SoC is balanced in terms of heat, performance, and battery life. ⚙ for 95%ppl,a55 is already enough! 4. Battery: - Definitely a55 > 8a (a55 uses Li-Ion technology while the 8a uses Li-Poly which degrades faster). 🔋 5. Long-term usage: - I think a55 > 8a because a55 is newer and has 5 years of updates, while 8a offers 7 years but will require battery replacements multiple times. (Most people will buy a new phone before 3-5 years anyway.) 🕰 - 8a has a plastic back, which I actually think is great because glass is glass and glass breaks. Overall, I think a55 offers better value, but if both are priced the same, lean a little towards the 8a. 📱 - Recently, a55 received some AI features from S series through an update. 🆕
I expected the 8a to better than the a55 but not by that big of a margin. Ouch! In fairness to Samsung ,the A55 is, at the time of writing this, much cheaper but presumably not too long until we see a decent price drop on the 8a - I hope so because when it came out, impressive deals on the 8 and 8 Pro came to an end, as far as I could see. Oh, well, I'll know next time! Thanks for another helpful comparison!
In the Samsung Galaxy A55 model, Samsung has preferred to take a more natural and close to real life approach rather than being more sparkling to the eye as a photo processing preference. In my opinion, this means that the photos are not bad, but you have to get used to them. Great video btw!
In terms of the camera pixel is a better choice. Overall Samsung offers more. Better battery, 120jz refresh rate, expandable storage and brighter display
I had it with Samsung and the flip just failed like every single Samsung I owned, connection with my Flip 3 pain in the butt, I thought that my Android Auto unite I bought was faulty, My new Pixel 8a just works so seamlessly and the haptics my goodness how good, like a iPhone or better.
no way in hell the a55 will win at anything compared to the pixels of any kind, My 7a recently broke (dropped it) and got an a55 for temporary use till I get the puxel 9, and oh Lord this phone's camera sucks balls
Night shots on the selfie cam is pretty ordinary. Also noted that the depth of field has changed between the two with Pixel using a bokeh and the A55 keeping all in focus .Was the Aperture different or did you change something ? Also that warm tint is making me question which one is more accurate with the white balance. Seems a lot of processing going on here with the Pixel pulling detail out of the shadow where as the A55 rendering sticking to a higher exposure setting and more shadow. Maybe you need to shoot this stuff in manual mode because the cameras seem to be doing their own thing and this is not giving accurate comparison results..
I have a Xiaomi ultra 13 which is a piece of crap and have not received one android update for over a year even though I bought this at an "official" fake store on Ali express. So now I am going back to the A55 or the Pixel 8 and photography is important to me and I don't want to spend another $1500.00 on another piece of shite , so thanks for your review it will help me decide as I want a big screen and good image quality.
What's wrong with the lense switch in samsung?... I mean pixel is not smooth either apple is better in this area but a55 lense transition is idk 😐 freezing the video then instantly switching
I think some shots looked better on the A55, but overall the Pixel 8a was better. I have the pixel 8a myself, but I hardly take any photos. more like when I am at Ikea I take a photo of where that package is so I can remember lol :) but you had some nice photos in the video!
According to the price, A55 did well enough. But Darius bro, I urge you to make a camera comparison between newly arrived Moto Edge 50 fusion vs A55. Untill you do that I'm not gonna switch from my Redmi Note 5 to any of those smartphone. So for the shake of my goodness please do that. Been watching you for nearly 2 years now. I've the right to ask something from you, haven’t I?
I have the a55 5g got it from Amazon uk 2 weeks ago for £242.... BRILLIANT PRICE tested the IMEI Number & Serial Number on samsung website & it's Genuine. I am Well Pleased.
Thank you so much for this comparison. I always love Samsung. I think it's reliable in many ways. But the 8a camera is better and I really love taking pictures. Now I'm more confused.😅
Are you by any chance gonna do the newest Xperia VI & Vivo X100 Ultra Camera comparison? I'm torn between these two as I need a new phone and these two are my top choices. Thanks
@@DariuszTech i mean you are doing it for every other phone soo hehehehe!! anyway take your time man, love your content and will wait for those cam reviews whenever you can. Thanks a lot
Honestly, I'm quite disappointed with A55's Camera and i believe that it's not a good camera phone (midranger). A35 has been producing better results in various comparisons. Pixel 8a on the other hand is a proper camera phone, with excellent quality both in pics and videos.
Pixels are good . I went on a trip with a friend who owns a Samsung S24 ultra . He said he preferred the photos my pixel 7a produced using the main camera and ultra wide. The photos his phone produced were a bit disappointing for a £1000+ device. Obviously the zoom on his was very good
Pixel 8a one looks pretty great on photo and video recording, samsung A55 does need more optimization on their camera. I think the A55 camera performance become like this because of the changes on S24 series
@@newfnshow031 Tensor G1/G2/G3 all them are Exynos. Temps and modem on Exynos 1480 (A55) are way better, of course, in performance A55 is a step behind Tensor G3, but is more stable.
It depends. The A55 came at a extra cost for me while the Pixel 8a came free of extra charge if I just renewed my contract for 24months. The A55 would have been $10 a month extra.
Seems to me a mixed bag on the photo shots with the A55 dragging out slightly more detail , with the Pixel controlling the light and flare better. The Pixel all seems to shoot more to a warm tone with the A55 more to neutral, I wonder though was the white balance set the same ?
