The software is called binary editor and you'll want to get the dongle kit. I didn't go with the dongle kit and went with the software license locked to my laptop then my son decided to forget how to pour a glass of water and fried my laptop so guess what I had to repurchase the entire license all over again but the second time I chose the dongle thus my license can be used on any computer.

Quarterhorse is the only way to go and just as simple and oldschool.

You would have to follow it all the way through both harness back to the ECU and depin it to “eliminate” this wire. The only way to truly turn it off though is in the tune.

Yes you can use a Quarterhorse on lots of different ECU’s

Battery saves the tune in the chip they last about 5 to 6 years once the battery dies you'll need to replace it with a new battery then reload your tune to the chip. Technically the quarterhorse chip is supposed to be only used to get your tune dialed in get the data logs adjust data log adjust data log adjust until your tune is perfect then you order a jaybird chip and the USB chip burner and can burn the jaybird chip with your perfect tune and then remove the quarterhorse horse chip and install the jaybird chip and you'll never have to touch it again as the jaybird chips memory doesn't require a battery to stay alive. But most people just use the quarterhorse and keep it installed and run our tune off it and will just have to replace the battery every 5 to 6 years.

You simply replace the battery or we have burner chips that are solid state with no battery once you have your final tune 👍🏻

My combo is mild - refreshed P heads, mild comp cam and one of the two power adders

@@BREW2LFOXBODY me to when it comes to wiring lights I don't mind but im not the kind to swap out a whole harness lol plus the ecm issues I've had I wish I could find a intake for a 2.3 with a carb but im tired of trying to get the lil engine to run unless it was a SVO
