GMC really stepped it up with this interior refresh, which was much needed. I also really like the headlights. This thing is clean!! Gotta ditch those stock wheels tho. Lol.
Wow! Thanks for the walkthrough, great job. Waiting for my Sierra! Your videos are great and for those of us who know the dealership salesperson sometimes is not the greatest in knowing the information on vehicles, this is an awesome!
I got the 2022 SLT Premium Plus Texas Edition in Silver. With the 3.0 Duramax. Love it! Pictures and videos do these new trucks no justice. The interior is unreal and the new front end is beastly. Love everything about my truck!
I’ve had mine for about six weeks and I love it! I also have the refreshed SLT, except with the 3.0L Duramax. Mine is white with the SLT convenience package, SLT preferred package, the Texas Edition SLT premium plus package, safety package, and X31 off-road package. I had the option of ordering one with everything that I wanted, or choosing from a list of trucks they already had coming. My dealer felt that I’d be waiting for quite some time for a special order, so I chose from the list. Fortunately, this one had just about everything I wanted in an SLT. I would’ve preferred max trailering, which, when paired with the Duramax, gives you the ability to tow up to 13,000 lbs. But as you know, there’s some give and take involved when choosing the right truck for you. I should mention that I watched a few of your videos when choosing and after putting a deposit down on my truck. Thanks for the content. I hope you enjoy your new ride as much as I’m enjoying mine! *While I love the new interior, the piano black, gloss trim is a nightmare to keep clean! Everything clings to it. Still searching for a microfiber or other cloth that will statically lift dust away. Any suggestions, or have you dealt with this yet?
Love the review, beautiful truck. Ordered a Elevation X31 with the 3.0 a little over a week ago. I tell you it's going to be hard waiting for it to arrive.
Bro that truck is gorgeous, it's crazy I got the 2019 and I'm still thinking that thing is high tech lol. I'm pretty sure my maw maws old Pontiac had that blinker sound aswell. Gotta love gm
That new interior is very nice, it’s about time GM picked their game up. Also as for leaving lights on auto, I’d agree except that sometimes they won’t light up on cloudy or rainy days sometimes. That’s when I switch them on manually, even though you can see fine it helps others see you coming.
Definitely the truck will look sick with a 30% windshield tint and the same tint grade for front driver/passenger windows and 5% for all rear windows as it already has factory tint I love the blacked out headlights for the refreshed trucks The interior is sick, I’m glad they put the 4x4 and light controls on the bottom instead of the top side like the 2021 trucks have I wonder if they will do the same for the heavy duty 2500 trucks I’m waiting for that truck
What a BEAUTIFUL TRUCK! Good Luck with this one. I cannot believe all the things on the interior. What choices. As an old guy I would probably have to go to computer school to learn everything. Again BEST OF LUCK! FRANKIE L.I.
Nice truck! New sub here and enjoying the content. After watching you, I had to change my 04’s name. She’s always been the “ old girl “ but I checked under the dash bezel and found her true name. Peggy D. It is from now on!
Can’t wait for your build on this new truck and know it’s gonna be incredible knowing you dude! My TrailBoss is just ordered and I was just lucky too have my wife say hey did you order your truck yet? You been researching and building it online line for three years! Dang I heard her as me this since she claims I’m hard of hearing and I explaining her so funny she ask me this I just made an appointment with the dealership and as if they have a RS Blazer for her to test drive! Yes finally got the wife on board and yes new car for her and a truck built for me!
I’ve got the 2022 Elevation Loaded like u started. All I’ve done so far is 2” lift 34” Cooper Rugged Trek and my fender moldings color matched to paint of truck
You are correct. Not many do reviews on the SLT. I think the chrome makes it. Your truck is awesome. Thanks for taking your time to share! That 5.3L does sound good. Does yours have auto stop/start? How about DFM?
I don't know if it's still the same but the 16-18 body styles you could get high trim levels like ltz or slt and add the z71 package instead of "just" 4x4 and it would include color matched bumpers and grille. But you'd still get chrome on the window trim, door handles, and mirror caps. Was that an option to get any color matching from the factory on these new trucks or no?
Too much chrome! You inspired me in the black out and love it! Still love all your posting so keep it up dude! I got a new TrailBoss on its way 6.2 LT fully loaded as it may be the last truck I own. Inspired by you but losing you in your choice. Hey I get it start over right! Thanks and keep sharing as will keep watching
Is it possible to get tow mirrors for this 1500 model yet? Looking good! Also for people not sure, the reason I think rear windows do not have auto up is because they do not want kids to get caught in the window and get hurt.
To be honest, not having 4 low is a big downside for me, especially with how expensive these newer trucks can cost. Also strongly prefer the column shifter for an automatic transmission truck, but that's what I'm used to. I do like the console shifter idea your GMC better than the folding one I've seen in the new F-150 and definitely better than the knob shifter in some of Ford's cars. Never been a fan of a lot of tech features like the push button ignition. On the plus side though, having rode in a newer F-150, Silverado, and Ram, I will say that all three have come a long way in terms of cab space and maximizing use of the space. My 2001 Supercrew is not claustrophobic by any means, but the newer crew cabs from all 3 manufacturers make it feel that way in comparison. All that being said, good to see you're enjoying your new truck and despite being a Ford guy, I can't wait to see what you do to this truck to make it your own.
Nice ride! I look forward to seeing your mods. I finally got my 22' Refreshed Trail Boss 6.2l. Sadly it has DFM, hopefully the Pulsar LT gets an update to support the Refreshed trucks. I may wrap the hood scoop with Carbon Fiber.
fun fact, the end call button on the steering wheel can also be used to mute the radio. idk how far back it goes but i know it works all the way back to the 2014 trucks
Btw the wireless charging in the 19-22 LTD interior was in the front part of the center console by the cup holders! And no 360 cameras? My RST has them and love it😍 safety package was a must for me
A couple important things I'd like to point out. 1. If you want automatic emergency braking, you need to make sure it is turned on in the vehicle settings menu, otherwise you just get an alert before you hit the car in front of you. The cruise control is also not adaptive, the automatic braking occurs in emergency situations only. 2. That was not a cigarette lighter outlet in the center console, it is a 110V 3 prong outlet. There are actually NO 12V outlets on these new Sierras.
The truck is really sick man. I don’t like the center shifter, which is what would really keep me from getting the new body style. Now I would take a 2022 LTD (brand new) with the 6.2L.
The Max Tow Package Helps The Truck Go Faster. The Minimum Tow Package Is For Fuel Efficient That 5.3 Need More Power Like 397 Horsepower & 425 Pound Feet Of Torque.
Has your girl picked a name for it yet ? That insturment panel looks a lot like the one I seen in the Silverado Electric Truck commercial with AJ and Meadow Soprano's. The Front is Massive. I live in Arizona so not sure BLACK would be a good color for me but Black and CHROME is hard to beat!
