I have an Aristo too but jzs161 model with atf transmission. I love your car. Very nice project, clean built and good looking car. Wheels fits perfectly
I've already got JZX100 Chaser with 1JZ-GTE but Aristo 147 3.0V is still my dream car. The most beautiful sedan from 90s for me. Your car is one of the best alive. Thanks for video!
Just got a GS300 due to seeing this my 2nd Lexus at 24🙏🏾 blessed to be inspired and thankful for seeing your videos . Hope for an update someday stay smooth !
Respect from mid-Europe. Your build is my dream car, my JZS147 needs a lot of work but your vid gave me the boost to keep searching parts and throw money on it. Silver, white two-tone and black two-tone are the best colors for this body (mine is '97 black two-tone, non-vvti 2JZ-GE). Please make more vids. Peace
Hi 👋 Tom's did make a 147 edition amigo. I just parted company with my 1991 30V Tom's edition. I bought it in 2009. It was kept completely stock. It's wheels are 3 piece called "Cabala" magnesium centre fat 5 spoke available only in 17" and ran 235/245 tyres they look very nice as they have dish
@h22aaccord1 is there an email? I forgot to say "Nice car!" "Goes like a scolded cat!" I wish I still had it so I could run downstairs and give you the vin numbers.. there wasn't a lot of physical differences other than wheels and strut brace.. mine came with a spare factory strut and a Tom's fitted.. as well a few bits that were unfortunately stolen by vandals in 2018- thecsame week i located a 147 TRD grill.. they (crackheads i guess) smashed 2 windows and half of my interior, they even took the Aristo and Tom's floor mats while tearing out the electric seat cables.. took me ages to find the bits.. others I cannot find. I have pictures of most of everything except the vin..but I might have an old rego receipt which will have it. They supposedly made 200 for some kind of homologation.. Another tuner did the 4 wheel drive V8 version of the 147, as well as Russian police used the and v8 too.
Absolutely gorgeous Aristo Bro.👏 What a sweet ride. I daily a 2000 LS400, but I lust after these insane Aristos. Dope review. Much appreciated. Peace to all the Lexus/Toyota lovers worldwide.🌎
Hello there mate, from Sydney Australia... I just viewed your video and I loved it... great job keeping things simple. I've recently bought a 2001 Aristo, and can't fault it anywhere... its still stock but immaculate with low kms. I have also subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to your future videos. Cheers Nathan
My first car was a silver 1993.5 gs300. Loved that thing, drifted it abused it. Man I really dog your build, this is actually my dream build manual and with supra tt wheels...if they were polished that would be the only thing missing. Respect man. Hope to buy a jdm machine like this and similar single swap..
@@h22aaccord1 Driftmotion makes a twin rebuild kit that replaces the wheels with GT28Rs. There are companies in Australia and Indonisia that also make them. Boost is controlled via a Blitz blitz sbc i-d iii.
🔥🔥🔥 I remember they had one of these gs300 in the movie Juice. I’m a BMW guy but these and the ls400 were so ahead of their time compared to the the Mercedes and BMW of the same era
Dope ride, I wish I had gotten a 147 when they were cheap. They’re pretty hard to find now too. I had two 161s back in the day but it’s just not the same.
@@h22aaccord1 yeah exactly but the good thing is the yen rate is like 150=$1 the perfect time to buy a car 😅 they’re about 3.5 million yen or about 23k USD it’s still a lot compared to the good old days 😞
I've seen your car more than a couple times. My gte bluestone is300 is at petrol werks was parked near your car at one point so ive gotten a chance to see this bad bitch up close. Lookin good bro nice clean & tastefully modded
hey brotha, great aristo, quick question, what’s your thoughts on the 97 aristo with the gte vvti? i have a potential deal and might reconsider after seeing your aristo
Love the build, I have a 1993 Aristo 3.0V too. I heard you say it had an HKS exhaust on it before, any chance you still have it? You’ve done almost exactly what I plan to with mine. I just may not be lucky enough to get a V160 and will end up going with a T56 from Grannas racing.
Thank you. Yeh T56 is honestly the better choice. I just wanted the car 90s period all through out. Also yes O do still have the HKS exhaust, they are hanging from my garage ceiling. I also had the tips cut off and put on the new exhaust to maintain the same look.
I’ve been looking for an HKS exhaust for this car for the past two years. Is it the full piping (from the cats all the way back minus the tips)? Would you have any interest in selling it? The only other one I’ve seen for sale is Fujitsubo, but I was holding out for an HKS before going custom like you did and just put HKS universal mufflers/tips on.
Hi there great video and you helped me fall in love with this car, I had a question with the engine types I've been looking all over but I only know for certain that the 1997 toyota aristo has a 2jzgte engine and I was wondering if the toyota aristo from 91 to 02' had the same engine. (I'm newer to the car scene so maybe my information is incorrect)
Happy to help you understand. So the 2JZ engine debuted in 1991 with the jzs147 Toyota Aristo u til 96. In 97 the 2JZ debuted in the jzs161/160 Aristo but with VVTI. There's tons of videos on the 2jz if you wanna know more details. Thanks for watching
Much respect man, appreciate your love and passion for an old school rare and unique car. I personally had an addiction/love affair w the gs400 (frog eyes) lexus. I’m trying to find a nice 06/07 gs430 and they are very hard to find as I’m mainly looking for black on black. I heard what you said about getting this car shipped from Japan and wanted to know how you found it/was thinking maybe I could do the same w an 06/07 gs430. Thanks for your help
I would have to agree with that. My 2nd gen was the best ride quality car I've ever driven. Performance sucked but I guess with a motor like mine. It would be impressive.
