Awesome vid as usual bro. Another great fact is that this car's body was actually penned by the famous Italian Design house, ItalDesign, which was run by Giorgetto Giugaro.
Yeah those 1UZ cars were for the ultra high ballers in the 90s I just talked about this on a recent IG posting I made. They were ¥5,330,000 in 91. The highest spec GZ trim A80 Supra was ¥4,720,000 in 93. But the heavy hitters got the Soarer. The 4.0 GT Limited could cost ¥7,450,000. That was insane for 91.
HP wars would’ve started alot earlier had Lexus decided to go GTE on the 1Gen GS. MB AMG and BMW M5 would’ve gone balls out way earlier. The forgotten impact the Aristo/GS had on HP wars is under looked story. On the lightside I’m kind of glad the 147 chassis actually remains quite attainable still with all the glory the JZX90/100/110 gets on the sedan food chain for Toyota hell even the 161 2Gen is getting tons of hype now.
That's wild I've only done 130ish in mine but the car felt very planted. Nice video keep them coming this is probably one of the best ones I've seen on the 147
Love the ultrasonic mirror feature, I miss having that in my daily. Other things that I find unique: 1. Interior air purifier 2. Two windshield washer reservoirs 3. Self-ejecting cup holder
I have the base gs300 model. Did a spark plug replacement and my car started vibrating violently & had coolant in cylinders... Idk what to do I don't want to junk it..😢
1Gen is still amazingly reasonably priced but for 2Gens its likely gonna cost more since that model was quite known and iconic among many folks it gotten tons of social media, tiktok, takeover, drift missile, vip hype it used to be cheap af to get a GS300/400/430 not anymore.
@@h22aaccord1 I’m actually amazed how reasonable the Aristo is still despite the insane prices of the GTE motors these days. The heavy weight and lack of manual is keep the boys away from the car though the 161 chassis is gaining hype more by the day.
The cars will never go down in price because they are in ultra high demand but there are a few 161s here going for 10k here in Japan. A friend of mine is selling his V300 Vertex for 10k your best bet is to buy one now and have it stored because once the yen gains traction again things won’t be affordable anymore
