Love the new design. Got to see it up close at the MN State Fair and it is a sweet machine...big and beefy with more power and a little more room in the cab, which is great for a big guy like me. I ordered mine on Monday.
About time they upgrade there clutching. I have a 900 and tge clutching sucks. Another thing polaris needs to work on is turning the motor or head around backwards so the exhaust doesn't go under part of the cab making the cab area very hot in the summer time.
You haven't experienced heat until you've ridden in a Honda Pioneer 1000. Polaris machines feel like sitting in an air conditioned cab compared to Hondas. I own one of each. Lookin to get out from under that Honda though. I'm gonna wait to see if Polaris has any bugs to work out of this new model first.
I’d highly recommend considering the Mahindra Retriever 1000cc/83hp Gas unit to anyone who is looking for something similar to the Polaris Ranger XP 1000. Mahindra will come standard with 36 month power train warranty, 1,200 lbs electric tilt bed, 2” front & rear receivers, tilt steering wheel, 14” aluminum wheels on 27” tires, very comfortable 3 person seating, 2,500 lbs towing capacity and more.
Is it just me or does the interior seem like an almost exact copy of the can am defender? Either way they did good by copying it. It's got all the things I like about the defender and looks like it'll still have the awesome Polaris cab system.
They're all Japanese based companies, so. there's a lot of stuff that rolls off the same assembly line to be assembled here in the US. There are tons of storage places in both machines, something you need when you use them for utility purposes around the property.
Polaris a 3 year warranty would be nice I wish Y’all would include a Micro SD port Capable of taking a 120GB micro SD That would be capable of recording If the unit has been driven aggressively or Driven responsibly It looks like y’all could have someone write an algorithm that would give a detailed report of Amount of aggressive driving machine has Undergone this would be very useful for offering a 3 year warranty And it would also be Useful for us farmers Or parents so we can view if our children or employees Have been aggressively driving our machines just a thought but it seems like a good idea From a business point of view so y’all can offer a better warranty and It would also Be a useful function for your customers
Thinking about a Polaris 570 midsize. But having a hard to convincing myself to buy a Polaris. Hear so many horror stories. I wish can am made a midsize defender
And now with a "12 Month" warranty. Strange they don't follow their competitor's warranties. Anyhow, this strangely has me motivated to looking into perhaps trading in the 2013 XP900.
nice machine door nets are terrible. for the price even half doors would of been better. But overall nice machine. 3 year warranty would of been nice similar to Kawasaki But big improvement over 6 months.
Nice improvements other than the exterior style. Looks like a step backwards to me instead of " modern". Certainly not as aggressive looking as they were. Reminds me of a 80s square body chevrolet truck. Just my opinion....yours may vary :). Other than that I like the improvements!
I wanna know what kind of farmers they talked to cause on my farm the 900xp only last 2 1/2 yrs before it just fell apart. They can not take everyday abuse of a farm.
Matty L. Yea my experience is that there tow rating isnt what they say I couldnt tote one round bale on 5x8 trailer with out the belt or clutch slipping an smoking. An the the bed is plastic an started breaking on the sides. Now I didnt abuse the machine I just used as a every day farm machine
I actually bought a new mule pro fx an so far as a work machine its hands down better than the ranger. Its no speed demon but it does everything I push it to do.
Probably a weekend rancher. My neighbor purchased a 2017 last year. I'm watching to see how long it lasts. Only warranted for 12 months says a lot. Thumbs up!
I think we have done a video about this or it is part of another video but it is pretty easy to install the Polaris windshields. They fit into the grooves of the ROPs and then just clip on. Fairly straightforward.
How come no mention of the over 200 lb more weight in the 18 model? Sorry, but sometimes I got to wonder if you guys are really doing that much research on these vehicles or you're just reading some script by Polaris. If this machine really did gain over 200 pounds it's going to need more than two extra horsepower to make up for it.
Curtis Bull it got a whole new sub frame and and bigger clutch, and better air intake system, pretty sure the 2018 ranger has enough power train to make up those 200 pounds
Lots of really nice upgrades and features but the body is way ugly. The Ranger looks use to tower over all of its competition. Not any more. VERY DISAPPOINTING POLARIS .
If you want something hard it's going to work and last you go with a Kawasaki Mule 3-year warranty Polaris acts like it's a big deal they gave their Ranger a 12-month warranty lmao Polaris do not last too long without breaking something
