Even from above me you were still able to land it, you're hella good with that thing. I couldn't even get close to enemies in time with the pilebunker.
I'm pretty sure that most people will agree that double Zimmermans isn't even meta. It was at the top for like a day. It's accessible, and easy to wield, but is flawed in its range. It's certainly still really strong, but there are quite a few things that are stronger.

Absolutely huge info on the pilebunker. I was so excited to use it and I still did but damn is that charge attack hard to hit. I'll have to get used to that dashing charge attack
A tip for you, start treating it as a prediction weapon rather than reaction. Also, master the swap timing where you can queue it after your Zimmerman and the pulse blades melee charged/uncharged so you have as little down time as possible
Good missile boats know how to Itano Circus an opponent and entrap into either impact heavy or damage heavy when dealing with agile foes. Slower foes would have to try and shield.
Although it's risky, you can also cancel animations with assault boost. This includes after a melee strike connects or misses, allowing a kick. This cancel also starts your melee cooldown a fraction of a second earlier after a connected or missed strike by ending the (melee) animation earlier. I'm still doing experiments of my own, but I'm hitting a skill wall at the moment.
I’ve found that using AB is more beneficial than QB in certain scenarios, namely and largely at least two; -it’s a PvE mission so the AI can’t capitalize on the starting animation of AB -you manage to connect/whiff and want/need to immediately get out of dodge, probably in a 3v3 on a map with obstructions you can reach while the enemy is disoriented and in stagger panic.
Hey man thanks for the great tips. I’ve been enjoying my light-wt reverse-joint LA starter blade swap into Pilebunker as soon as I unlocked the pvp. It’s soooo satisfying to win with the combo. Being an AC noob this is the only build I actually have chance of winning haha. My build is v similar except instead of Zimmerman I have Handgun to spam-pressure/ build-up stun & small missile launcher to “move” the opponent as I’ve been told it’s fairly important. I’m currently halfway through Chapter 3 so I don’t have many other melee weapons but looking forward to your tier-list.
Yoooo! I put your melee Tech to work earlier. I credit you for winning me the matches. Man it felt awesome faking people out and slamming that charge on them. I was on a long losing streak as bipded but decided I'd go back to basics with my RJ mech, then it turned around.
I love pilebunkers. I dont do pvp but pve using the laser blade has crazy range and movment while doing a lot of stagger so i use that to knock npc ACs down then finish then with the bunker.
I enjoy fighting zimmer players with my preferred style. I highly enjoy hyper aggressive quad pulse builds or builds that are based around doing non stagger damage. Zimmer players start to panic when they find that i can continuously charge and chunk their hitpoints. People are sleeping on direct damage builds outside the dual stunguns and there are so many other oppressive short range options outside shotguns.
I tried so very hard to enjoy the pvp solo and team with my light weight build and the floaty boys with all their rocket spams and gatlin spams (Basically spamming everything that can instantly stun lock you) i had no other option but to do the same and join them and i can see why they enjoy it so very much.
I mean, you definitely can. But from my experience, punches leave you far too open due to their animation. I don't want to risk eating any more damage, as the build is very squishy.
honestly? the coral gens high energy back on initial regen combined with those thrusters with 14000 lunge (may have too many zeros) with the lance could make for a funny jumpscare melee build.
Thanks for your tips! Saw your duel vs Myndrrr, was a blast! If I had to fight into a quad leg player who know how to spam kick, what build should be the best to counter them? Also, sometimes melee canceling doesn't work in Pvp, is it due to lag?
Coral Shield counters kick builds really good, Bumblebee would ruin it probably. As for melee cancel not working in PVP, I've never had the issue. Maybe you aren't managing your boost well, or doing it at wrong times?
I'm curious to know if you would ever consider using the laser slicer over the pile bunker. IIRC it has similar damage with it's two hit combo and has lunge distance to make it easier to land. I'm not sure it's always a true combo with it's two hit chain.
I will be testing it soonish. Making a whole tier list with 'em. But from experience, the slicer is mostly good post-ACS Overload, rather than bringing them to it, like you would with the Pulse Blade.
@@CodenameMood Even with overload, if you're running pulse shield you can cancel the pause in between the combo with pulse shield and negate some of the damage.

Yeah! I renamed mine 'THUNDERSTRUCK' just cuz I thought it fit. I'm not good with shields yet, and so few people use the melee cancel techs that it threw me off. I didn't know about the Pilebunker charge tech, though. No shame in losing to a tough opponent like you, though.
@@PsychowithanRPG You did fine, just practice the coral shield timings, and you're golden. As for Zimmerman users, when the arms lift up, that's when it's about to fire, keep an eye out for that!

Cry, sadly. This build isn't optimal enough to deal with every threat, you downright lose against some. That's why I said, just identify the enemy and avoid it. It's not worth your while to fight it as is.
What do you do about FORTALEZA "wheel" tanks that are faster than you? They boost diagonally away and I cannot catch them. (While they blast you with delayed missiles.)
Be sharp with your movement, and melee cancel to throw off their boosting. Try to intercept the course it's going at by dashing to where it'll be, rather than where it is. It's boost sucks, and if you do land a pulse blade hit, zimmerman shot should get them to ACS overload .
This build you showcased paired with the melee cancelling is by far the funnest build I've tried. I would love to see you give your opinions on the other melee weapons of the game. I feel like I can get similar damage to the pile bunker by using the laser lance, and with much more ease, so I was wondering if you think it's better or not. It's sure as hell not as cool as the bunker.
Pile Bunker just feels so cool to use though. Again, it's about the skill and fun factor of it, rather than the ease of doing it. I'm glad you are enjoying the build though!
I beat Balteus with this build! But I'm trying to look at options for more versatility too. The other energy sword sucks compared to the pulse blade, and the energy shotgun is booty damage and Impact. I'll keep experimenting for alternate setups, possibly plasma lance
@@CodenameMood cool! Also I used the Laser pistol as a backup on the Zimmerman shoulder- was a great PvE loadout, but doesn't carry enough stopping power to be useful at all in PvP
Most the techs you mentioned I found my self doing naturally. Except the pile bunker slide, that one is new to me. I have been giving my self a hard time in the story because I'm always trying to use melee. I'm actually hoping to do a melee build run in the "Intercept the Redguns" mission.
I recently gone against those Quad-kick builds yesterday, and honestly, it is BY FAR the worst. Not even a point blank Assault Armor breaks their 1billion ACS. I would at least say this ties with missile spammers that stay in the air or run away like hell who refuse to interact by any means. It’s crazy how people play so twistedly and take pleasure when it’s just from being salty by some other brainlet players. It’s crazy, but I would rather go against dual zimms or dual shock reverse/bipedal builds over tanks/quads since those are at least “fair” and more winnable, considering those builds have to get close for close-quarters combat.
I think it's crazy that people get so butthurt over losing just because someones build is inherently better 😂 Find a way around it, or you could just keep raging lol
@@animorte9790 yeah, that may be the case but myself and other players care less to play for the sake of countering, otherwise, in some moments, it’s just salty runbacks. At the very least, you can look at other players builds before deciding “oh, this guy is running a reverse-join missile build. Perhaps I should leave to avoid any annoyances or just blatantly counter this guy for the sake of destroying them.” At the very least, it’s good that this possibility of choice exists. It may also be good that ranked didn’t get implemented in the game in the first place either, since FS should be aware that their pvp experience always comes down to being imbalanced at the beginning of every title.
Indepth melee tips by mood: Use the Zimmerman so that they are crowd controlled into being unable to move. Then press L-Trigger with the pilebunker so that they lose all their health and you don't have to deal with them at all. Your weaknesses will be enemies that disengage at long distance so that you can't gimmick your way to victory.
I don't play a bumblebee build, that's Myndrrr's making, go ask him! But if you are asking me what I am using against it, I use the V20D generator and the coral FCS that is fully close range specialized.

I have fought it! Try to intercept their path when they try to run by you. Dash to where they are going, pull a melee cancel, then smack 'em with a second one. Zimmerman shot should stagger for pile bunker, they have no stability.
It wouldve been fun to have melee equipable in both hands. Weak and ineffective at mid to long range, vut imagine the skill it would take to achieve total melee blademaster builds.
When you do your tierlist, try to make comments about which melee weapons you like for allrounder builds. I usually run a balanced mech. Like using either laser whip or laser blade. But whip is horrible if you accidentally attack twice and get animation locked Laser blade i just like for punishing close ranged players with its charged attack but its lacking vs ranged focused mechs.
No hate at all as tip videos just grows the game but I feel like this is all common knowledge by now? I think the melee cancel was being talked about like day 1 of release. Helpful for some hopefully.

"Ability to poke new viewport on any ac". Priceless. Question: can you, and how, destroy missle boats? (Quads with all missles) These are very popular and cancerous builds. Too bad we dont have missle decoys.
You claim to be "the best" eh? Well, I haven't touched PvP yet, but I've been using the PB since day 0 and we'd prolly have some fun in the arena, though I'm not on PC. Another tip for the PB is AB, since it tracks better and uses less EN; QB when too close could overstep. Cheers.

Can confirm Quad Kick spammer are the worst, they make us honest Quad Builds who just wanting to have fun look bad We want to rotate punish different playstyles with Trueno and Plasma Thrower, not actual brainrot gameplay
I cant wait for them to nerf missiles so the spammer have to actually play, because in every vids you have one of those spammer going, lol skill issue, when all they do all game is run away and shoot missiles for 20 minutes till the other person die, and they always pick map with no cover.
PVP where is the PVP ? i mean this is a very cool game. but there is no ladder, no ranking, nothing. there is no PVP on this game, just some lobby. You can't chain game, there is no matchmaking....
and if it's in the game, you're both wrong and should suck it up. Real players overcome, instead of putting down other people just because you think their ideas aren't good/intelligent. Pretty bad sportsmanship imo. Isn't the point to have fun??? 😂
