I love this! So many minimalist room tours are what I like to call "Simple maximalist" where there is a lot of wasted space or unnecessarily luxurious, so it's very refreshing to see a low-income one for a change.
Wow comparing this video to some of your earlier ones, it's so AMAZING how much you've decluttered and organized! The room doesn't seem small at all because it's so tidy. You've done incredible work on it!
I really wish minimalism was around in a big way as it is now when I was your age. It would have saved me from wasting so much of my hard-earned money on so many things I don't need. You are a very inspiring person to me. Keep up the detailed videos of how you continue to maintain a minimalist lifestyle. :)
“Around”? Minimalism isn’t a visiting aunt🤷🏼♀️ Minimalism always...*was*. Sure social medias put a spotlight on it, but youve never needed anyone’s permission to keep your hard-earned money and *not* buy stuff you didn’t need...
NAH of course minimalism has existed forever :but most of us was not introduced to it until adulthood. Generally, here in Norway at least, our culture is very much materialistic and the idea of owning as little as possible to make life simple is very foreign to many people here. So I understand what she means by "wishing it was around". I feel the same way and I'm very happy to say I have really felt great improvement in my life since I found inspiration to minimize and change my relationship with physical belongings.
I seriously love your channel! Your story is so inspiring and motivating. You make me realise that I don't need alot of things to be happy. I'm taking small steps to a better life and a better me and you are helping me so much. Lots of love from Germany xoxo
Gosh, I love how clean and open your room looks, even in that little space! Re: the pegboard, is it the texture? A lot of people have aversions to certain textures. (I have aversions to the sound of fingernails scraping against certain textures, like dry skin, but usually not the textures themselves
hey i'm new to your channel. i have recently became a minimalist myself and i'm really enjoying the lifestyle. i enjoyed watching your room tour it was very nice.
It would be really cool if you made a video about your experience with PCOS (if you feel comfortable!!). I was recently diagnosed with it, and it would be helpful to hear first hand from someone. BTW I love love love your videos! You are the youtuber who made me embark on my own minimalist journey!
hey, i know the scare of having it, i've healed pcos within a year on a high carb low fat raw food diet - 80/10/10 - and then had colonics and dr. morse herbs and that really boosted my health. i never felt so light, free, and comfortable with my self. i'm just sharing to give you guys some faith. you can heal from it. i found out about this healing modality on Megan Elizabeth's youtube channel.
thank you. Im glad im not alone. I do want to practice minimalism but dont have the money atm to get great quality beautiful stuff and right now im where you are at, but the only difference is that i am a single mom. my son said to me this year he wants to practice minimalism with me and doesnt want any presents. Literally his uncle asked him what he wants for christmas and he said "nothing"....which honestly didnt expect and his uncle tried to surprise him with a toy at thanksgiving bc he missed his birthday- my son wasnt excited lol IDK I said I...ME...JUST ME to practice minimalism- He didnt have to. NOW hes turning down presents. I hope he will find joy again in toys bc he is still a kid and should enjoy toys still, but all he says "I just want my mom and the occasional army men set up on the floor".
I have the same mason jar for change. I love that you actually have more space than you need. Also, you can order a charger for your fitbit on Amazon. Best Buy has them but they are more expensive.
Wow, this is fantastic. I've just spent about three hours decluttering/organizing and I still have an overwhelming number of things. How did you initially deal with getting rid of sentimental childhood items? Also, how often do you do laundry, and do you have a washer/dryer in your house or do you have to go out to a laundromat?
Anchovie Feet I've considered it, but they're way out of my price range right now. Maybe in the future, but I'd be really finicky and end up building one myself.
are 30 books considered one item? just kidding!! i'm trying to downsize but it is hard! living with my medically challenged husband in a one bedroom apartment forces me to be frugal & innovative. not much room. medical equipment & a wheelchair take up a lot of room. making the best of it, not too bad though. good tour!
I mean... I'm not sad about it. Lifestyles are as unique as the individual and this is what is most comfortable for me. :) would you care to elaborate?
