I’ve been using these plates for about a month now and they have exceeded all of my expectations! They look great, that’s undeniable (and I’m so proud to show these off). Besides being aesthetically appealing, they’re super functional and the ecoat is a great protectant against rust - perfect for my garage. These are my daily drivers now. I have about 500 lbs and will be getting more!
The E-Coat looks sharp. All I have is bumper plates currently. But there's something special about the clang and bang of the iron plates. Interested. Great In-depth explanation. USA Baby!
Was ready to buy York legacy plates directly from York, was going to drive 8 hours to pick them, then found out they were made in China. Went with The Strength Co plate set, shipping from Wisconsin was cheaper than driving to York Pa from Western Pa.
I ordered 420 lbs of these babies yesterday. Hadn't seen this video prior to ordering. If I did, I probably would have ordered sooner. I actually cancelled my order with another vender and lost $140 on that order just to order these because they are American made. Yes, they are expensive, but I was happy to support this company for these quality plates, and I am hoping they will be the last plates I ever purchase.
Nice info. BTW, I was wondering how the plate got so many circular scratch marks so soon in spite of the e-coat until you explained that the one on the bar was an old York plate ;)
Just after @2:56 I think he meant to say "millimeters", not "centimeters". 450.7 centimeters is over 14 feet. Anyways, can't wait for these plates to come back into stock.
I am lucky enough to leave 40 minutes away so I chose pick up. I was able to pick them up about a month after I posted this comment. Got two pairs of 45’s and they are legit. Definitely worth the wait. I have rogue bumpers, titan cast iron and old school cast iron and strength co is the best I have. I bought 2 pairs of 10’s after and they are noticeably better than other weights I have
@@1manuelmacias that's awesome, I'm excited for mine. I ordered 45x6, 25x2, 10x4, 5x2, 2.5x2 today. I live in Canada so I'm pretty far away and with covid and everything I don't know if I want to wait 2+ months. I was at least expecting early May. You think it's going to take longer than that?
Idk brotha I must have asked for an update like 6 times waiting for mine and they were real good about responding to me. I got an email today from them saying if you ordered 45s or 25s it was delayed to middle of April shipping date. I could have bought weights from other companies but for the price and quality I’d say they are worth waiting for. I’d outfit my whole home gym with these if I didn’t have enough weights.
Excellent presentation. Never heard of you guys, but I’m thinking I should order some stuff ( I don’t need it, for I’ve literally about 6 tons of plates already, from Eleiko & Schnell to old York USA & Ivanko, but I I’m interested in yours cuz they’re sound like quality USA made). By the way, do you custom knurl on your barbells? Do you make stainless steel barbells? Keep up the quality work.
