I'm seeing a lot of satisfaction in seeing the majority of the Republican party veering away from the extremists in their party. Hopefully, we will get this congress to finally get something done.

Of course it isn't. The 300 billion in frozen Russian assets will soon be released to Ukraine. The aid around the world, including the US, is important to show who supports Ukraine. Saturday's vote will provide Ukraine a significant boost, if it frees up aid/munition spending. If the Democrats take the House in November, and keep the Senate, Russia's hopes are effectively over.

I see Russia’s strategy; they use propaganda to appeal to segments of Western societies that are most unhappy with current state of affairs. During the Cold War, they appealed to the far left because they were most unhappy with American society in the 40s and 50s. Today, they’re mostly appealing to parts of the MAGA right because many of them lament the societal changes that occurred starting in the 60s.

Right now and for the past decade and a half at least. Bipartisanship only works if the two parties are willing to negotiate. For awhile now the GOP is hardline not to negotiate and in many cases straight out opposition for things which would actually benefit their constituents. The MAGA faction is a virus of corruption that works against our democratic processes.

Parts of the country are angry that they see the country changing. They see their power and influence declining and they are angry. I totally agree, friend...I have asked the same exact question, and the answer doesn't lie with Gen X'ers, that I know of....It's a generational awareness thing, from what I understand. we have a considerable problem with the exact information digested, and it seems the media is at fault for much of it, so I'm wondering how the Russian propaganda has filtered into our mindset here....my second question is why Anyone in their right mind would NOT want to see Putin, a war criminal, locked up. At the end of the day it’s All about teamwork. Mike understands this. They cannot get anything done without working together. The Republicans in the house needs to resign if they refuse to do the job they were elected to do.
Hopefully enough (GOP) don't get re elected in the next election and the Dems control both houses. Then it won't be as big a deal as it is right now. Don't get me wrong, it's still important for both sides (reasonable sides) to work together like they used to be able to do.

There are 4 different piles of money. Israel is committing war crimes with our weapons and shouldn't get anything.
