one of the best inventions ever - my skin always dries out in the winter time because my home has the standard HVAC system. thanks for another educating & cool post.
Wow, the Amish are taking great care of you. Love the radiant heat. So much more comfortable than forced air and no noise. My cold feet would love that kind of heat. Wish you showed them installing the pipes and concrete.
This reminds me a bit of ondal, the ancient Korean in-floor radiant heating system. A key difference is that the heat source in ondal is a small fire located outside the building, rather than heating coils within the floor. The smoke generated by the fire is drawn underneath the floor via cleverly placed inclines and bumps, heating a brick floor overlaid by wood, and finally exhausted through a chimney--sort of like the steam vents in your system. In both cases, inhabitants enjoy warm, pleasant and efficient heating rather than the stifling hot air of conventional HVAC systems. Also, thank you for another candid and engaging discussion on your ongoing project. You make each step in property development seem a little more understandable, and therefore less daunting. No other financial guru on RU-vid is doing anything similar; if anything, they simply show off their new properties without explaining how they got there. You're showing everyone not only that one person can do it all, but that you can do it creatively and support skilled, home-grown talent while you're at it :)
I had a farm a while. Then I realised that The best thing is to have a small house😊 then heating issue is not a problem. And if something breaks down..... Or a leak under that concrete floor. 😬But Good luck and Good job! Many experiences in a project like that.
I'm in a 300 square foot apartment in the UK. So jealous! Here, heating bills are like 300$ a month. You have a great quality of life and more power to you. Great video
Hi Alex!! Thanks for taking us on a tour of your amazing building, your work, and a glimpse into your great, one in several million, talents. The slight echo of the acoustics reminds me of being in a grand cathedral. The interior is fabulous. I love the railing to the upper loft area and I love how you did the interior side of the exterior walls with the vertical boards up to a chair rail and then the remainder of the boards being on a 45 degree angle. Everything is so impressive. I bet a magazine or book editor is going to be contacting you to feature your beautiful and inspirational work in a story. So amazing!!! Thanks for sharing. And the interior must feel so comfortable with the radiant flooring heat!! Impressive to be able to heat a large space.
Floor heating is quite popular in EU. This is especially nice in bathrooms (warm tiles under your feet). Your videos are interesting and nice to watch, thanks!
Love the videos. I’ve been looking into building where I’m at in eastern Pennsylvania not far from Lancaster. My family has always had our work done by the Amish. 1 they hold a high standard 2 they do great work fast and 3 they typically are a little cheaper. I love the new information because I am looking to buy a few acres to have a small farm on as well. Thank you for the very informative information.
We are recent Saratoga County residents (Galway, NY) and we have radiant heating in our house. It is a dual system, propane and/or wood burning boiler. The radiant heating system, in my opinion, is awesome and far superior to other systems I have had experience with. It's quiet and highly efficient.

@@airgaborpara3824 it does heat the floor, but no country in the world calls it just floor heating because that could mean many things. It's called radiant floor heating, or simply radiant heating. I have the hydronic type.
I came across your channel through this video- case studies are incredibly valuable, and I'm eager to see more in the future! Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments.
You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.
That sounds like a good plan. In the past two years, working closely with a financial market specialist, I've built a six-figure diversified stock portfolio. Now, I aim to diversify even more this year.
I'm a newbie talking about a financial market specialist, do you consider anyone worthy of recommendations? I have about 10Ok to test the waters now that large cap stocks are at a discount
@@AlexandraFasuloBiz thanks for your video! Was wondering where are the Amish you visited in NY State! would love to go and meet them for a building project.. how do I get in touch with them? take care!
I love the thumbnail you chose for this video. It's giving a "What color is the dress?" effect because of the lighting. White or purple? Lol. I appreciate all of these farming/homesteading videos you are doing. I'm considering taking the steps myself. I'm finding zoning regulations for minimum sqft of a home, aka, no tiny homes, is my biggest obstacle.
Zoning is def my biggest prob as well.. I would spend a lot of time picking a town where the board is open to tiny homes / entrepreneurialism!

@@AlexandraFasuloBiz I live in the north ATL suburbs currently, and from my research, there are just three counties in GA which have no zoning and thus no min sqft requirement. Most counties/cities require at least 900sqft. I can't help but feel disturbed by what amounts to the outlawing of housing, especially at a time in which housing is so unaffordable. I get that 500sqft isn't suitable for most, but for those that are fine with it (like myself), why can't we buy a couple acres and park a tiny home on it and call it home? Especially in this country, it seems so backwards. My hope is to sell my townhouse which has been the wind at my back as an investment, and use the proceeds to buy/prep land and buy a tiny home without a mortgage and homestead for the rest of my life. Greenhouse and garden, maybe some solar panels. My HOA is only making me want to do it more and more as they're clowniest of clowns. Keep up the great videos!
That is so damn cool 😮dunno why you say solarpunk though, it's clearly STEAMPUNK 🤠 a question is whether that steam coming out of the pipes can actually be used..? 🤔 Could it perhaps be channeled somewhere to help with seed germination? Could it run through a compost to make it moist? OR into a greenhouse? The barn is 2500suare feet right? I wonder what kind of thermal effect (if that's the word lol) that would have on a 250sqf greenhouse. I dont know if you have met Sean and Sasha at edible acres, they are in the finger lakes region and have worked/traded with the Amish there anyway👍
Hi, just found your channel. I have watched a few videos and if I missed it I’m sorry. I’m just wondering if you Incorporated your Farm? Like an LLC or another form.
In Canada we use Glycol instead of water to avoid risk of freezing the pex tubes in the ciment.. should the system stop working from a broken pump or loss of power for a week.
Very nice! Does the floor get too hot for bare/socked feet? I've always wondered that as we just don't wear shoes indoors. also, nice Spirited Away reference :)

I want to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for hearing and answering my prayers, thank You, Lord! May the Holy Spirit continue to guide us in sharing Your unconditional love. On another note, trusting the process really does bring great rewards. Working with Melissa Jonas Richard has positively impacted my financial journey, and her advice has helped me grow. If you’re considering a change, don’t hesitate and stay disciplined it could be just the opportunity you’ve been looking for!
Oh my goodness, I’m so happy to hear that! Melissa is amazing. I was skeptical at first, but her approach to crypto and stock investments is next level. I started small, but now my portfolio is way better than I ever imagined. She’s really professional and has been verified by major agencies like the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Honestly, I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t experienced it myself.
Same here! I heard about her from a colleague at work, and I’m from the UK, by the way. Melissa is incredibly skilled, and what I love is that she’s honest and transparent. It’s not some quick schemes you see everywhere, she really educates you along the way. I’m seeing consistent returns every month. I’m so grateful!
G’day from Sydney! I can’t thank Melissa enough, she has such a good grasp of the markets and knows exactly when to move. I was drowning in debt, but now I’m living comfortably and my portfolio’s been doing really well over the past year thanks to her advice. She’s got a proven strategy, and it’s backed by multiple agencies like Forbes , the International Blockchain Association, Wall Street Financial Insights and even ASIC has also endorsed her expertise. The woman is verified!
Basically, the front-end radiant floor heating time to heat....is on the back-end where it still heats after it's turned off. So when you know you are going to leave...you can turn it off an hour or two before you leave. I'm sure everyone tells you about your beauty already ...but you really are better looking than Princess Kate and Mehgan Markle...your husband must be smitten.

I'm not criticizing the concept of a farm or a homestead, but is it prospective/sustainable for a woman to run a farm alone (I mean without a farther or a husband)?
@Alexandrafasulo6 sorry, I didn't get what you mean, and I didn't try to offend you. Actually, I would probably consider you as my (house)wife. But I'm in Russia
