@@zayerrdawn8234council houses were sold off by Miss Thatcher and can be bought. (Most are bought) hence their horrible conditions and insane prices. Before privatisation the rent would be reinvested into maintenance and development.

@@Dan-zs8pk investing in property ties up large amounts of borrowed money in unproductive assets. Compare it to investing in the stock market which grows companies and increases economic growth. Investing in houses merely transfers money from one person to another, make one rich and the other poor. Would you like to face retirement with an enormous monthly rental payment to make? How big a pension pot would you need? How do you save for that when all your earnings go on rent. It’s a bad model which is crippling this country and starving business of investment money because all money goes on rent.

He lost to May and Johnson, and the Tories remained in power to do their dirty work. He achieved nothing.

A lot of people use foodbanks because they can't afford the basics like food, rent, gas, electric, water, council tax. The genuinely sick and disabled, pensioners, and those on Universal Credit who are working and those who aren't working. Wages have not increased in line with inflation. Landlords rely on tenants to pay their mortgages for them then kick them out on section 21 evictions. Employers exploit employees on zero hour contracts whilst reporting record profits. Council tax increases with two tier policing. British people going to the back of the queue whilst illegal immigrants get housed in hotels with free food, gas, electric and no council tax to pay. Energy companies charging extortionate rates whilst reporting record profits. Pensioners made to sell their homes to pay for care home fees instead of having something to pass onto their children or grandchildren. This country is run by capitalists and their main focus is profits on the backs of the poor.

Labour dragged us through 2 wars which nobody asked for. Caused 100’s thousands of lives. Handed the banks 100’s billions in taxpayers money. Sold half our gold reserves at a faction of the cost. Conservatives completely destroyed our public services by budget cuts. Raised taxes to highest levels since 1948. Highest immigration levels since records began. Literally baffles me how people are voting for these parties. Reform UK to me seems the reasonable option.
