For the first several months I watched anything concerning QE2 I became emotional. It has been almost 2 years since her passing. This is my third time watching this documentary and I still tear up
Yes, the world lost it's luster and the sun doesn't shine as brightly since she left. I.don't know how we're going to move forward without Her Majesty, The Queen. And I'm an American and a monarchist if that's possible for an American 😂😂😂
@@loissheldon139 I go the other way in thinking she is living the life she really wanted with her loved ones in the country and of course her corgis and horses

Same here…she was a quiet comfort, yet dynamic force for an eternity, and always will be. She lead by example, and that is how I knew her. One does not have to meet a person physically to know them and learn from them. The Queen was a true servant of our Lord, as we all are.
@@anitaquinn9565 that is beautifully said and I will reference your comment I’m sure; such wisdom with a quiet but granite strength in faith. I once read that one third of Brits dreamt about the Queen at least once. The night she died, this Aussie Monarchist was surprised that her death had such a deep response and I dreamt of her that night. What a beautiful reign we were blessed enough to witness and been part of.
@@PK-sc2vn I think it's possible to miss someone's presence in the world, knowing that they have passed on and be gone forever. One can know of someone famous without actually knowing them personally, or the famous person knowing an admirer.
She's a Saint now as is her soulmate Philip a kind and lovingll gentleman from her first meeting as a young girl. Loved and adored by all Commonwealth families and monarchies. Forever Young. Xo
I am so sorry for your loss, losing a parent is such a monument event no matter how old you are. I hope you have others in your life to hold you close and comfort you. Sending lots of hugs and love. ❤❤❤
I'm so sorry for the recent loss of your mother. It is a pain I understand having lost my mom 20 years ago. We learn to carry on while keeping their memory close. Thinking about my mom and something she used to often say, "Call me when you get home," brought tears to my eyes in realizing the emptiness in no longer being able to call her anymore.😢.
I can Imagine Prince Phillip visiting her that last night...Telling her to "Hurry up and Just Get on with it"... "Stop messing about" ... "Were all here... Just Waiting ...Come Along "
Strange isn't it, how a message on a special day such as Christmas, by a person we have never met, can feel not only natural and authentic, but exceptionally reassuring and comforting. For those 10 minutes you feel safe, reassured and free from any stress. Majestic!
With the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, The Royal Family is not the same now, You were the Queen of the World Ma'am, loved by millions around the world, and Mourned still now. Thank you for all you did during your reign. Rest now and be with your beloved Phillip.
Ever since the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, everyone seems to let down their guard especially Queen Camilla. She wants her family on the payroll, she wants some of the Queen's jewelry, she wants more visibility and popularity with the people etc. She seems never to be content.
Mercifully, my mother died within a week of knowing her medical fate. This seems to me to be a matching fate. Elizbeth was sprightly on Monday, but within 3 or 4 days seemed faded. I fear a long and lingering death, as much as you. The last vision of Elizbeth was seen as frightful, and we could see her mortal downfall. Some complained that this should not have happened. I believe Elizbeth would not have had it any other way. Gracious until death. We are nothing but our memories. When we remember, we build yet again, a temple of love each and every time.
I will never be a monarchist, but I do respect Queen Elizabeth. Shes the only monarch I've ever known and had been alive for all of my grandparents, parents, and my life. I respect her loyalty to the job and admire her ability to do it for so long, well into her 90s. That does take a hell of a determination.
Thank you❤❤❤ That is the absolute best post I have read on the subject of HLMTQ You aren't a monarchist never will be but you can still respect HLMTQ for what she was Bless you
Asking out of a genuine desire to understand, what Queen Elizabeth did was basically what the monarchy is expected to do these days. Stability through politics, guidance and sponsor and spokesperson for those who may otherwise fly under the radar. Why is the monarchy so bad then? It's a personal sacrifice that politicians wouldn't ever give.
@@glen7318Even so, the queen was in serious pain and had mobility problems due to her multiple myeloma, a kind of cancer. So, no doubt, getting dressed, even with the faithful assistance of her loyal aide Angela Kelly, was very uncomfortable for Her Majesty.
Our Beloved Queen was a complete one off never to be seen ever again. We just thought she would always be there for us but it was her time. She did did her duty to her very last breath through our good times and sad times in the UK she was right there for us all. Thank you for your service you will always be sadly missed but we were so lucky to have you as our Queen. Godspeed and rest easy with your prince.🇬🇧
I’m American and never been to England, but I’ve loved and admired the Royal Family since I was a little girl watching Diana get married. The Queen was always there in the world since I can remember and I miss her. Love to 🇬🇧 from 🇺🇸. ❤️💐
Even as an American I was bawling when she died. When my mother died her strength gave me strength to continue...it felt like a mother...when she died it felt like losing my mother all over again
I think the Royal Family have done a marvelous job. The task is all consuming, they are not robots, they are human beings. Our late queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were very young and had the stamina to match when they took over.
In what way have they done a marvellous job….their life is far simpler than the subjects whose lives are a lot more complicated in the struggle to get through the day..
@@seasmacfarlane6418 nobody has said any such thing, I for one are not anti royal, and your reply is actually quite offensive. And your response is exactly what turns people off the royal family, I suppose you'd like to bring back slavery as well.
You misunderstood OP’s comment. The person is talking about how young Elizabeth was when her father died and she became Her Majesty. She went up the treehouse a Princess, came down a Queen is how, I believe, the saying went. Prince Philip of course stood by her side and Prince Charles and Princess Anne were still young children. That’s what the comment you replied to is referring to.
Harry wasn’t left behind by his brother. Had he not been insisting that his wife would have to come with him to Balmoral he could have left on the same flight as the rest of his family. Very hard to have any sympathy for Harry considering he chose not to go see his grandmother over the summer or the prior Christmas. After having been invited numerous times by the Queen but Harry didn’t bother to go see her in person nor let her get to know his children.
Harry Did nothing wrong, He was discriminate against by the people, and his very own family. His wife and children were shunned for no doing of their own, and he has put in the middle like a rag doll. I would have chosen the more peaceful side to. The royal family proved out of the whole ordeal with Harry and Meghan to be racist, prejudice , and hypocrites in the highest form of the realm. The Queen showed her cards in the 90s, with her treatment of Diana, and She sealed it with Harry. Charles is a spineless eel, with his Witch Camilla lurking around waiting for any creavase to slide in and get what he does not deserve as he has brought much shame on the Royals. So do not blame Harry for the ill manners of the Royal Family.
@@dustinatwood2620 yeah right Harry and Megan have been perfect angels and not brought any of this onto their selves. What exactly have they accomplished since running away from England? They have absolutely no work ethic and have accomplished very little since leaving England which is exactly why they got fired by Spotify. The Queen and the rest of the family welcomed Megan with open arms. Megan was encouraged by the Queen to mentor with Sophie the Duchess of Edinburgh but of course she couldn’t be bothered with that because Megan thought she already knew it all and was so much better than the Royal Family which makes her a hypocrite. Keep your opinion just like I intend to keep mine.
Her late Majesty the elder wise and respected states person. Still missed throughout the world and people will continue to miss her for many years to come.
I honestly think QEII has lived the best life since humans became how we are, and no one will ever live a life better. To think she was never supposed to be Queen if her uncle didn't marry that hideous Wallis Simpson then became queen at 25. 25!!! Just amazing.
People thought she was stiff and stoic. She was raised mainly by her Grandmother Queen Mary who used to suffer no fools. The Queen was eleven when I was born so, I grew up with her in my life. She is still sadly missed.
The fact that she worked her soul through for the country, the people, and her reign. She had such nobility while keeping up through her age. I am not a fan of Charles and Camilia, but I hope that they continue her memory.
"Harry left behind by his brother and uncles"? Indeed and why was that? They waited for an hour for him to get to the plane. And this hour was why Andrew and Edward could not say goodby to their mother. Or William, the next in line, to his grandmother. Keep to the facts, dear sir.
@@Mayrowswhat racist Royal relatives ? Even Harry has said they are not racist, he also said the his Wife has never said they are racist, so who's the racist relative ? Facts matter.

Effectively leaving Harry?? Harry didn’t make it because he was too busy arguing Megan needed to be there! Which I can imagine is the last person the queen would want anywhere near her on her deathbed! And who could blame her or any of them for that matter just so Megan can make it a PR exercise for herself please! Not to mention, you must’ve forgotten all of the invites he got from his grandmother to come to Balmoral while she was alive that he declined. So why was it so imperative for him to get there then? He didn’t care when she was alive, so why when she’s dying?
It was only imperative to Maggot to be there so she could record to sell stories, which she's trying again through Scabies. But also to be apart of history! Her name would be one of the last people to be at Her Majesty's bedside. Thank God that didn't happen! MM needs to go away and stop attacking the Royal Family!
not true. Harry didn't hold up anything and the others left without him, willy never answered his texts/calls. if they were late it was through their own fault.
@@lisabradford8180 OK let’s say that’s true. You know, like Megan, not contributing to finding freedom, the wedding in the backyard three days before the spectacle , the New York City, catastrophic car chase, the royal family took her passport, and then she proceeded to travel all over the world, (only the Sovereign can do that)why would they want to tell him? He had no interest in accepting her majesty’s invitations to Balmoral while she was alive. But hey, whatever THEIR truth is I guess the rest of us just have to play along. Just like everything else it’s all about Megan and Harry.
@@lisabradford8180 Absolute rubbish! It is a recorded fact that Harry's first priority was negotiating for the presence of 'She Who Is Evil.' This delayed the departure of the rest of the family. It's amazing to me that there are still people who refuse to accept the level of malevolence in Markle. Don't bother to comment on this .I never read comments addressed to me.
Saying Harry was effectively left behind by his brother and his uncles sounds like they abandoned him, which was not the case. They apparently waited for over an hour while he was arguing with his wife who incredulously expected to come too. The cheek of Meghan Markle to expect to be there was beyond comprehension and how Harry could show his face after trashing his Grandmother’s legacy and making the last years of the Queen’s life miserable is deplorable. So if Harry was late, it was Meghan’s fault!
Yes this is true according to Harry’s own book. William’s car with the uncles didn’t make it to see the Queen either, because they wasted hours arguing on the phone with Harry whether his wife was coming or not. If my whiny lying brother and his narcissistic wife caused me to not see my grandmother before she died, I will not forgive them forever. How painful that must be.
@@Debbie-vo3ygHarry should have put his foot down and told her this is a FAMILY situation and she needed to stay behind. For Princess Carherine not to get to go is deplorable.
Andrew and Edward didn't make it to see their mother because of Harry. So don't say that it was sad that Harry had to make a commercial flight. And that his brother and Uncles left him behind. If he just got on the plane with them and not have a tantrum than they boys might have been able to say good bye to their mother.
Didn’t this documentary say Andrew, Edward, and William were all on the same plane? So if William got there in time to say goodbye why didn’t Andrew and Edward?
It was pure chance that Charles was able to be there as he was only a short trip away or else he'd have missed it too. Harry should never be trusted to be in ar the RF again. Hell derail everything to raise his and Meghans profile. I think the RF should be glad to be rid of them.
Still sad about the departure of QEII. She was an outstanding woman. Sad for her family, too. For those who are reliable and hard working, trying to help the King and honor her memory.
I work with the elderly and advanced age. At that age they really deteriorate very fast. They could be healthy and bouncy today and be in critical condition and decline the next day . The transition can be very shocking.
My Grandma was 85, she was going out for walks, enjoyed spending time with me and then next day she took to her bed and declined rapidly for 2 weeks then died.
Agreed! It's so medieval (like in a movie), and not something you think you would ever hear, not in my lifetime anyway. It seems most of my generation will be living through 3 big changes to the Royal hierarchy. Rather strange to imagine.
The Queen's death on September 8th 2022 was the day that changed our lives forever, & no-one will ever forget that, with at the age of 96 years old which indeed a good innings for someone like her, I don't think anyone will ever forget that.
Could you at least get the facts straight? PH kept the plane carrying William, Andrew, Edward and Sophie on the ground waiting for him to arrive for over an hour while PH argued with his father and demanding that MM be allowed to come too. In the end Prince William ordered the plane to leave for Scotland, but they were all too late to be able to say goodbye to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. King Charles has turned out to be a very good king along with the support of his Queen Consort Camilla.
Correct the BBC coverage that started when it was announced that the family had been called to Balmoral , it showed the plane on the runway waiting to take off with the family aboard for well over an hour ,and were speculating as to why they plane was just sitting there with the family aboard, and during that time they were notified by someone scobie i reckon, that harry and meghan were both going and the plane was waiting for them, eventually the plane took off without either of them , but it was definately the shenanigans of the treacherous ones who delayed the flight . Unforgivable. I say scobie leaked that was because he also posted that the Queens body was going to come back the next day by train which was never the plan , and it is said that William fed that story to harry to see if it was posted and by who.
From all I've read and seen, Prince Harry was not the only member of the royal family who did not make it in time to see the Queen. I believe that only her two eldest children were there in time. Do you have different information?
i watched this all play out live when it was first announced that she was taken ill ,,,,when it was made clear she had passed i felt honest pain from her passing ....my mother named me after her (Shannon Elizabeth ) i met the queens mother at the royal albert hall as a chikd when doing primary school work on the swan lake and the queen her self at the royal albert hall for another swan lake production i love the royal family dearly
The King needs to be the bigger person? In what world has he not been? He is someone who has had bomb after bomb thrown at him and he has maintained a dignified silence. That’s being a bigger person in my eyes.
You're not unimportant. I too get super emotional as an American. My whole life she had looked like she could be the grandmother I never had. Whether it's all training or just how she really was I also felt her sense of duty and genuine nature. Have you watched her first televised speech after becoming queen? It made me 😭.

Even as an American, I will never forget where I was when I found out. It truly is a blessing how quickly she passed. It would’ve been awful to have her suffering for a long period of time. God rest her soul
Say what you want about KC III, but it takes a lot of courage to stand up in front of the world's cameras and act so steadfast while grieving a parent and handling the burden of being the new head of state. Losing a parent feels like you have no (metaphorical) roof over your head anymore.. :(
Yeah. It takes a lot of courage to show your face in public especially with the person who wrecked his first marriage. They both should go hide under a rock.

Will you condemn her for screwing around with married men ? Your precious princess had very slack knicker elastic . I knew Charles would do ok as King when on one of the walkabouts in the days after the Queens death , i think it was outside St James Palace , instead of a sombre crowd the women were screaming for him like a rock star , one lady asked if she good kiss him , he said yes and she planted a big smacker of kiss on him. I think it was just what he needed .
I don't feel sad about Her Majesty The Queen's death, because now, she's happy with her husband, no more burden, no more duties,no more drama...but I will miss her and all the people I know in my life who has passed...RIP, Innalillah wainnalillahirojiun...Princess Diana too are happy looking down how successful she brought up both of her childrens, just like her, full of empathy, loving magnificent person...
Notice in that last photo of the Queen shaking the hand of Liz Truss that she has a black handbag over her forearm. She used to use this bag as a way to communicate with her staff. If she held the bag over one arm (not sure which arm, whether the left or the right) it meant she was okay and all was good. If she switched it over to the opposite arm, it was a signal to her staff that she was tired and wanted help to leave the engagement she was attending. She also did the same thing while seated down, only this time the bag would switch from her lap to the floor. The Queen was smart. She always knew her limits but kept her dignity in order not to offend anyone present at the engagement she was attending.

Saying, hearing and reading the words "The King" to me still sounds strange. Also I work in a solicitor's office and see a lot of Court documents so seeing everything with "King's Bench Division" and senior barristers with KC and no longer QC after their names looks so strange too.
