London Bridge is down. Four small words that changed the course of history, but with the most immense impact. The matriarch of the nation, the foundation stone of stability for so many people, mother and grandmother to her own family. Those four words would trigger unparalleled news coverage. The greatest breaking news headline in 70 years. In a year of unprecedented celebration of historical milestones, the second Elizabethan age has finally drawn to a close. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II is dead.

4:10 This was 2 days before the Queen's death and she must have known she was at the end of her earthly life, and yet look at that smile on her face. Absolutely radiant. Does that look like someone who is afraid of death, or someone who knows she has made good use of her life and awaits what comes next in joyful anticipation? Her humble and simple Christian faith is inspiring.

As an American, the passing of the Queen affected me so greatly because she was the last world leader of the early 20th century. She served in WWII. Worked with Churchill. She met with JFK. Saw man land on the moon. The rise and fall of the Soviet Union. All the way through the largest pandemic in history. She had unparalleled wisdom from this breadth of experience. Her loss is a loss to all of humanity.

2 years into mine and Woody.EXE’s reign, King Charles now has cancer and we were both really devastated by this news on the first anniversary of my illness the news was announced so I had every right to be heartbroken. Everyone in Wales loves our affection to the royals and we both met the king in 2022 before Elizabeth’s funeral on that Monday. This is truly lovely. The way she glanced at George W Bush before she spoke cracked me up. I had never seen that before. We had a lovely monarch and I honestly thought she would never die, which sounds silly because everyone dies eventually but I think like other people, I took it for granted she was there and always would be. 8th September 2022 was certainly a weird day and a jolt to realise nobody is immortal. Even Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you ma'am for your wonderful and long service as our Queen. You will never be forgotten

We're all mortal. The great leveller of Kings and paupers, Lords and commoners, Republicans, Anarchists, Socialists, everyone: death. We all knew she wouldn't live forever, no matter the singing we did for her as we sang the Anthem of the United Kingdom. No matter the words of her coronation, "May the Queen live forever"... we knew she would not. But she was a fixture of all our lives, whether we were supporters of the Crown or detractors. She was always there, always putting the best face of the People of Britain to the world. On every coin, bank-note, post-box, stamp. Her title engraved on all ships, and attached in some way to all serving Military personnel. The UK for just over 70 years had the same head of state: Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Losing her, whilst I never met her nor knew her personally, was like losing a part of my childhood and youth and early middle-age. The world changed in an instant, yet remained the same. The same thing happened that has happened to all who came before us and will happen to us and to all who follow us. Yet, for that moment, things were... odd. Gone. A fixture of all our lives simply removed. In an instant, we were no longer subjects to a Queen, but to a King - whether we personally accept it or no, the truth remains. I miss seeing her or hearing about her, or listening to her Christmas messages. It's so strange to instead listen to the now King Charles. I still think of him as Prince of Wales. He was that for longer than I have lived, before I was born he was Prince of my little section of the UK. Now he is King, and the young lad William is now my Prince. So strange. So moving, even though I never thought such happening would move me as much. God rest you, your Majesty. Thank you for your service. Your job is done. Farewell.

Thank you for you support of our late Queen. Ignore the nastiness within RU-vid. Why do these people bother commenting and wasting their time when they have no interest but to cause derision. I only became a royalist when Harry went rogue, and I did not like being labelled a racist, when I knew that was not true. We have our racists, but the reason we did not like Meghan was due to her character. She was very much welcomed and spoiled when she first appeared, as we were relieved Harry had a life partner. I found my patriotism when Harry and Meghan lied on Oprah and now defend against the ignorant who like me had not appreciated what we had. I was ignorant I freely admit. As just a rude American, I have to say, this touched me more deeply than I can truly understand. Yes, for me, too, Elizabeth II was the only royal I had ever known, an eternal constant. The woman was a font of wisdom, grace, and humor, a shining example of faith, honor, and duty. I'm not ashamed to say I was in tears for most of this tribute, and I can't even tell you for sure why. Except for this: the world is a diminished place without this grand lady in it. God save King Charles III, may he rule with half the grace and wisdom of his mother, he'll be remembered as a good king and an honorable man. This was a beautiful tribute to the longest reigning British monarch, may she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved Prince Phillip.

If you actually look into the financial set up we as a country greatly benefit while they protect our country’s history. We blow away all countries when it comes to our armed services, even though small. We know how to do a ceremony. The world looks on and we have our commonwealth which is voluntary. Never used to be a royalist as they were just people, even school friends of mine, so never special until I actually looked into their work schedules. So actually I do know what some are like…. And yes some are better than others. Knowing Edward more and he’s someone I respect. The original plan was to fly Her Majesty's coffin from Edinburgh to London but the plans were changed so that the country could better pay their respects as Princess Anne, the Princess Royal and her husband Sir Timothy Lawrence accompanied Her late Majesty by road. There were mounted riders and farm machinery lined up beside parts of the route back to our capital, as marks of respect, and silent crowds also lined the route through towns and cities as the cortege passed. It was nighttime when HM Queen Elizabeth II was driven through the gates of Buckingham Palace for the second to last time, as London waited to bow their heads to her as the cars passed through. Rest In Peace, Queen Elizabeth II, with Philip, Margaret, Mama & Papa... Together again.🇨🇦🇦🇺🇳🇿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️🇬🇧

This was a very good documentary , tastefully presented . However , as one who had attended a briefing some time before on plans for this inevitable event , and knowing that it had been Her majesty's wish to end her days in Scotland , and particularly at Balmoral , she herself had drawn up meticulous and specific plans for operations Unicorn and London Bridge . Most of her wishes were carried out , but there was one significant departure . It had been Her Majesty's express wish that her final journey , from Edinburgh to London should have been on The Royal Train , steam hauled , down the East Coast Main Line , and with her coffin on view in the observation car at the rear of the train to allow as many of her subjects as possible to see her as she passed . I was saddened that this wish was not carried out , probably due to security , or merely safety , concerns with many thousands of mourners most likely lining the route and getting too close to the tracks . However , instead of the bland grey transport plane that was used , given Her majesty's wartime service and her pride in it , it would have been far more fitting to have transported her to London in the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster Bomber , flanked by an honour guard of Spitfires and Hurricanes , which could have taken Her Majesty on a final tour over her Realm , and giving her subjects a chance to see her fly by and say farewell . the Spitfires could have even been flown by some of the Royal family , most of whom are qualified pilots , and this would have been a sight many people would have been inspired by and filled with pride at , and something I'm sure Her Majesty would have approved of .

I'll say this. Her passing was indeed tragic, but not unexpected. We all knew it was coming. I understand that many mourn her, but you should also celebrate the long span of time she was The Queen, as well as her service before she took the throne. There were obviously ups and downs in her reign, but she carried on with that indomitable British Spirit. An active and spirited woman to the end as noted by the photo a short few days before she passed. My Mother was born November 18, 1939 in Newfoundland. At that time they were a British Commonwealth, which meant they entered into war with much of the rest of the world. She always loved any news of The Queen, even after she moved to Florida with my Father in 1961 when he was discharged from the United States Air Force. I never told her she passed. In the waning months of her Alzheimer's she would not have remembered. Mom died March 8, 2023. I like to imagine her reunion with the friends and family we've lost over many years, including her two daughters. I also imagine them introducing her to Elizabeth II.

The passing of the Queen affected me because I believe she was one of the greatest leaders of the United Kingdom. It isn't easy to lose such a wonderful human being that served during WWII as a young teen to provide aid and bring medical needs to the Blue Cross. It made me aware how wonderful she was when they tried to get her to leave London Princess Elizabeth refused but to stay to help her country in any capacity. At that time Princess Elizabeth would drive a jeep to provide aids everywhere she was needed. Even as she got older, she still drove her jeep in certain rough areas when she had to go through rough terrain. I loved that she enjoyed all the presidents especially JFK, which I believe JFK held special bond with her after meeting him and discussing politics. So much she has been through, but the worse part was having to deal with Royal drama at home when she should have been going easy due to her age. I learned she was very ill but never knew until she passed away. No one should have to go through hardship at her later years as she did in her 90s but met with the last prime minister before her death. Always doing her duty no matter what the course of her life dictates. To me she will be a woman of strength and courage which she brought in the next 21st Century during her time. May Queen Elizabeth II, be at God's embrace and may she RIP.
