jobs come and go, thats the cycle. its sad but it is what it is, people always talk about the amount of jobs that are going because of tech but not the amount of jobs now becoming available because of tech. people complain too much. people have always complained, in the 1800's people were complaining about job losses and yet here we are, still got plenty of jobs to go around and if your only available job is working at morrisons you need to sort some other stuff out. besides, those jobs still aren't gone yet. and benefits for consumers? I think most consumers prefer self checkouts, its much quicker.

But...the 90s were largely so good because of the massive explosion in computer technology. It's that same technology with the internet, social media and online business racketeering which has had a huge effect in making everything so rotten. It's like an older generation blaming their children on society going bad when THEY are the ones who built the society and raised their children and put them in the situations which alienate them so badly. It's all one movement, everything is connected and we're all in on it. We all complain about billionaires taking over society etc, but we are the ones who keep buying their products, downloading their apps and clicking their links which make them so wealthy and powerful in the first place.

And, by the way, the king paid the expenses of his coronation.

The Crown leases all of its lands to the government, and in return, it gets a fixed allowance that doesn't exceed 25% all of the revenue that the government gets on that land.

Nothing hilarious about the Speech from the Thone. The United Kingdom is a Constitutional Monarchy, and the King is the Head of State. Constitutional convention plays a huge role in the system. And it's something that has worked well since the United Kingdom was established in 1801.
