Morale theory: I think what this movie is saying is that life is short, and it is important to love it to the fullest no matter how much time you have left. 30 years or even 60 years of time left may seem like a lot, but time goes by quicker than you think. If this movie became reality, I think it would encourage those who look like they have so much time left to waste it, and for those with so little to desperately try to get more. The point is, life is a gift, and it can end at ANY moment, use it to the best while you still can.
The demon isn't even doing anything wrong, people wanted to know when they die and the demon answers that. If they try to avoid it, the demon does it manually.
I actually do think demon wasn't in the right with first death when girl didn't want to come in car. She had enough common sense to not drive with drunk driver. It's like walking next to cliff and demon then says you broke agreement because you didn't jump off. I honestly would sue the demon because in normal circumstances she probably would drive either
@@realdragon The point is she wasn't as drunk as she would be if it wasn't for the app. Her boyfreind only helped because she got freaked out. otherwise the boyfreind would have gotten drunk with his own bought drinks. and she would have drunk all the ones infront of her. The tree branch pierced the car EXACTLY where she would be. It's preaty clear what the movie writers were trying to imply.
1:13, being stalked and followed in the middle of the night but she has to check the app before entering the front door. I can see why she had the least amount of time to live.
I don't think thats an unreasonable thing to do because I would also want to know if the stalking thing had anything to do with the suspicious app I downloaded
Did y’all know you can get this app on your phone? If you download it, you can delete it, but if you redownload it the time won’t change. When you enter the app your flashlight sometimes flickers and sometimes the phone will buzz. You can also watch an add to change your time- most of the time it makes it a bit shorter.
The way they killed the demon doesn't make any sense. Narcan doesn't bring you back from the dead, it can only stop the effects of opiates. If she died from a massive opiate overdose Narcan isn't going to magically revive her.
She needed her sister to survive in order to be brought back. If her sister didn't survive, she would be dead earlier than the timer, guaranteed. So it relied not on her actually dying, but on impossibility for both timers to be correct. At least that's how I rationalized it.
So a normal grim reaper trying to do his job but someone created an app that snitches, to let the user know when they will die so Mr. Reaper needs to do it himself because people are trying to escape their death.
Hey Mr. Recapped you missed the END CREDITS SCENE!!!....The phone guy who hacked the phone and changed the countdown death dates was on a date with a woman and it was going horribly then he looked at his phone because he had hacked his own death date and gave himself 90+ years. The phone then counted down all the way to 0 for punishment for hacking the curse/computer code and the demon killed him🤣
In order to lift the cursor, you have to "either die early or live longer than the countdown". Easy choice! Yet it's via the latter option that Quinn ended up in order to survive.
Wait what if you make an app with super long terms and conditions and one of them says it can kill you but as most of us don’t read we accept and can they legally kill you?
To my understanding, that wouldn’t be enforceable. You can’t make someone sign an agreement that breaks the law. For example, you would be hard pressed to find a court that upholds a contract you signed that sells you into slavery in the United States, as this would be unconstitutional. In addition to the above, many contracts are unenforceable for people under age 18 if minors choose to revoke them.
Note: This is NOT legal advice, as I am not a lawyer; just some dude giving an opinion on the internet. Please talk to an attorney if you wish to receive actual legal advice on any contracts signed.
Be careful, or you'll create the demon of revengeance, because you have killed them after they discovered that they'll live a long life and hopefully more time to drink alcohol
Courtney didnt break the rules at the start the app messed up its prediction assuming that would get in a car with a drunk driver when that may never have been the case, in order to justify the mistake on the apps behalf, the time it gives you is when it wants you to die rather than when you were going to. Some of the deaths in this film were not fair
i remember downloading this app in 6th grade when this movie first came out & everyone was so scared thinking they were going to die like 2 years and stuff.
