It would've went by, but DAG went back to have him repeat himself. You can tell Damon was happy to say the line under his breath for just DAG to hear as a throw away injoke to just him, but DAG wasn't having it. You can tell he threw Damon off by calling it out cause Damon laughs as he repeats the joke like the mischief artist he is. DAG stays in character the whole time while Damon has to turn from camera to hide the fact he's breaking character. Both are so on brand here. Rewatching these skits is a shock to the system because I realize now how much this show was influential on my day to day humor. The comedy still holds up today like it was written tomorrow.
Interesting thing from the book about the history of the show…this was supposed to be the beginning of a series of sketches featuring that character, but the feeling after they taped it was that they didn’t get the audience reaction they were expecting. So they never did another one.
@@Paul-rf8xsthey were like peas and carrots back then. Both equally were must see TV. Jim Carrey and Ed O'Neal were the best white guys on Fox back then. Kept us all in stitches. Ed O'Neal (as Al Bundy) was also on In Living Color in one episode of The Dozens. I believe it was when Jamie Foxx was killing it on the series.
@@BAMA-2019 these were the lyrics from Heavy D on theme song in the beginning of the show. See the quotation to tell you these were someone else's words.
The Wayans Bros and sister Kim was a family of comedic geniuses. Keenan Ivory Wayans the eldest directed and starred in his 1st movie I'm Gonna Get U Sucka. One of my favorite movies of all time. Why this show is not still on but SNL is sucks
dick hertz ENSLAVEMENT CAN COME IN MANY FORMS, SADLY THESE DAYS PEOPLE MAKE SLAVES OF THEMSELVES TO THINGS LIKE HARD DRUGS, STREET CRIME, THEIR CHURCH, MOSQUE & SYNAGOGUE. FREEDOM BEGINS IN THE MIND & YOUR SOUL WILL CARRY IT FORWARD...
I do not think that I saw this episode, but goog God!!!! This is ground breaking stuff!!! Folks forget how good this show was, and how many of the cast made it huge in the entertainment industry!
Keenan:”You got to look for Harriett Tubman looks like Cicely Tyson. Damon:I thought that was Jane Pittman! Keenan:Nawl that’s Esther Rolle😩😂😂😂😂 That was pure Gold for them to honor women of color and empowerment back in the 90’s
That was amazing ad libbing and watched it many times. The audience loved it. These two have been on the verge of many times breaking character on their Men On skits.
@@alanguages Lmao The Men On Film Skits Were Hilarious! My Favorite Episode Is When Something Fell & Hit Damon In The Head & He Started To Act Like A Normal Dude Too Funny
@@O.G.Ashtre That was my most memorable also. How DW talked about Christina Applegate, then DAG faints and his body position after fainting. How In Living Colour showed laughter was the best medicine, when my friends and I watched it.
No WAY! If the narrative isnt telling the black man he is oppressed then the media has ZERO interest. I am sure that Americans cant be that stupid. I live in Ireland and I see how the American MSM keeps telling the black American how he is oppressed and they keep telling the white American how much the black American hates him. Its so f*cking obvious that they are trying to start a race war that its disturbing. America is a great country and it would be devastating if the evil cretins managed to incite a race war. Imagine falling for the old 'divide and conqueur' bullshit? I hope that the evil few dont get their way.
Used to love how genuine their expressions used to be, made it that much funnier like David Alan Grier after Damon told him stop eyeballing that white woman lmaooo
@sean carter Which is exactly what I am saying if you read what I typed correctly. The Vancom Lady is madtv. They got the idea from watching the lady trying to sell the apartment in this In Living Color sketch.
@@danielsarn3823 They are different comedians, but pay close attention to the demeanor of both characters. Both seem oblivious and at the same time indifferent to how rude and offensive they are being towards customers. And Vancom Lady does play off stereotypes and racial humor as well. I've seen it.
11:46 when they broke character I still remember that part as a child. I used to love this show. It would NEVER make it today though. “And Stop eyeballing that white woman” 🤣🤣
Friday night lineup when I was growing up as a kid here in New Zealand was In Living Colour and then Arsenio, man I used to love these two programmes and I was a big fan of Martin and Fresh Prince too those were the days, I miss them so much.
