@@aggressivedogpetter8189 I'm sure if you asked her she'd deny it, but she's probably using post production tricks to make herself look younger. Her appearance hasn't changed much at all in 9 years.
@@aggressivedogpetter8189 Except for the makeup, pretty much. She did a reveal a number of years ago. :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FfcrsQGk7GE.html
3:00 It somehow seems as if you do not look straight at Alan. I suspect that Alan is actually some CGI added to the footage in post. -- Confirmed: At 4:20, the blue light of the hologram in the footage reflects to Ami's skin, but not to Alan's, so Alan is clearly added with lighting only from a static HDRi taken without the hologram or so ...
Also at 0:18 when he waves his left hand you can see some slight distortions in the bottom right corner of the frame. Although that could very easily be just a compression artifact.
Watch the UFO Over India debunk video, it clearly states the difference between compositing and cgi. Also it is clearly stated in CD lore that Alan the Intern absorbs light due to his depression.
4 hours of daily sleep for sanity makes 20 hours a day, 7'300 a year over 17 years makes 124'100 hours plus 4 leap years makes a grand total of 124'180h/10'000'000h, or 12.4% I think the "real Alan" works on his channel even during his sleep.
@@xenotronia6681 short answer, the math I stated. 4 hours from studies on the effects of sleep being that 2-3h a day will kill ya. Then 20*365 to get 7'300 hours awake in a year, *17 for 17 years and as this is a year divisible by 4, and the 2000s happen to start their leap years in the year 2000, I divided 17 by 4, which is 4.25 to get the 4 extra days. Lastly, 124'180/10'000'000 to get 0.124... So yeah, did not "get" the numbers but calculated them using basic knowledge about a clock and calendars.
I didn't actually watch this video before it was uploaded. I have traveled to the future to watch it on release day, but RU-vid backdates the comment to my natural time because continuity is more important than accuracy. Have a nice day
My comments were already here when I watched the video. As far as I can tell, Big Ben being covered up is screwing with the Internet, causing time glitches.
the captain has such wonderful toys! i wonder if he'd let you borrow them for a bit. that transporter might help the next time Tom Cruise decides to have a run across London rooftops.
Oh damn, this time machine I bought via Aliexpress was a total rip-off. I was looking forward to Stephen Hawking's time traveler party, but it just backdated my comment on this video. Heartbroken. 😞
All comes full circle, discovered you through him and now I'm seeing him again through you. Or uh, his intern. This was such a cute video, your expressions in this one killed me.
I enjoyed this video as I always do. Although I feel like there’s a joke I’ve been excluded from and I didn’t get what was going on. If anyone can help me out? But always happy with an upload!
"Alan" is essentially a character played by the same guy who plays Captain Disillusion but using his real name. Like how certain author's frame the book they're writing as not a work of fiction but an actual story they are retelling. If you already knew this about Alan then I don't know what it is.
Sooooo cool! I like Captain Disillusion, but lacks empathy and is a bit self-centered. I like better his intern, he's more... human. By the way, I noticed that your face is better "defined" in your videos lately (I don't know if "defined" is the good word). Maybe you changed your camera, or use face powder that matches you better, or it is just the general quality of the light that became better in London... anyway, that's great.
Omg I am obsessed with this channel I love your accent and your amazingly perfect art! Your art looks like you work for Disney or Pixar, your art is flawless to me!
Captain Disillusion and Ami in another video, how wonderful! I'm hoping next time you collab you give the Captain what's for regarding labour rights. Poor Alan probably won't speak up for himself but he clearly responded well to you sticking up for him!
It's always pleasant to see Ami. I kind of like the sparse uploads, because it's like a surprise whenever I get notified of them 8D. I've never been in London, but everytime I see it, it's always really gorgeous to see. I live in Philadelphia, so you kind of get used to seeing the Liberty Bell when going out with friends. It's always more interesting to me to want to visit places you're not natively born from.
Oh, it's that time of the year again, when i'm reminded that i'm subscribed to one more channel :) Hope you're doing well in these uncertain times, Ami.
They're both exceptionally good actors. Playing a version of yourself without exaggerating is unnatural, and many fail at it. As I was thinking this it was hard to get across the fact that Ami is virtual, but.... there you have it.
For years I thought his name was Al-N. Though I do agree with your assessment. A geo-syncronus orbit work week is 6 months. Even in Captain's time, that's a lot of overtime...
If it means anything all the effort and work is appreciated in laughter and smiles. I know you both need to eat and sleep but good things have come from the toil. You were able to spend the day, minutes together before the teleportation equipment was calling you home. A true comedy classic.
Dammit I was just over the river that day. Could've seen both my heroes (from the other side of the road, walking past staring at the ground and pretending not to look)
Seeing you two together was a pleasant surprise. Also, I bet this guy holds the Guinness record of having the longest internship ever. Damn it Captain, give the man a promotion!
I have never seen film augmented like this before. After watcing this video, I have the feeling of seeing just the tip of a very large, mostly very adult iceberg lurking in the future of the internet. . .
I found this video from Captain D's feed, and I have never seen this channel before. So I was pretty thrown when I saw an apparently digital character on camera. What's up with that?
I just love that you are staying true to yourself and animation. Or should I say Ami-Mation? I recently saw your Star Wars Video. I loled at the part, when you played rock paper scissors with Darth Discount. I can totally see you in a Timetravel Video, where you meet yourself in a Timeloop that corrects itself. Judging by your humor- it would be hillarious. Cheers!
