To everybody related to Bron! I lived in Osaka age 22 y in 1984. On a winter day I walked in Osaka on a lonely sunday afternoon. Then suddenly I encountered 3 white tall European looking guys! DEEP PURPLE! ( without Ian Paice, he is American). They wondered why I was the only European guy on the street. I asked them the same question and we had a nice chat. They where so kind! 👉🏼Fun fact: a few months later I went to London to visit my uncle who worked as a tour manager for several bands ….The Commodores….and DEEP PURPLE…. The world is a small place. Grrs from Belgium. 😊

So very sorry for Ian and Grace and every Gillan extended family member. I have been a fan of Ian's as long as I can remember. One of my best memories is meeting Ian in Buffalo and telling him that I named my son after him. Ian was genuinely touched - just saying this to get my point across of what an amazing man he is and I'm sure he was an amazing husband and father. We are all saddened at the news....My sympathies to him and all who know him and his family.

Ian has been a true pioneer in rock history and in my life since I was a kid. I am sorry for your loss, to you and your lovely daughter.

Another enormous talent says good bye too millions of fans. It was the first Rock band that would use a full orchestra to do an album. Amazing, Deep Purple took rock & roll by storm with Richy Blackmores blazing guitar and Gillians powerful voice would pierce your ears an cement their songs into your brain. Sweet child in time, Space Truckin ,Smoke on the Water , Highway Star , Speed King , Burn , I mean this band kicks in , you better be wearing a seat belt. Too all the Deep Purples members an family my condolences go out to you. My prayers are with you all. Man I am broken. I have no words to describe the emptiness. Without Ian and Deep Purple, Rock-N-Roll would have been easy-listening music and not the great Classic Rock we know of today. We are loosing all the Greats ! "HEAVEN JUST TOOK ANOTHER BLUES SINGER BACK HOME" ✌️

Thank you for posting this Igor, I grew up listening to Deep Purple and Gillan among other great rock bands. After having a row with my dad when I was about 13, I took one of his ball pein hammers, smashed the cash box where mine and my sisters Woolwich building society books were, took mine, went into town and bought Made In Japan. Which remains one of my all time favourite albums to this day, 43 years later! I knew nothing of Ian Gillans beloved wife and daughter, what beautiful, down to earth people. My sincere condolences to Ian and Grace. May Bron rest in peace 🙏

When dp toured Australia in 1984/85, I got to hang out with the band over a couple of days. I got the band to sign my tour programme as well as bron. She was a lovely lady and I spoke to hear on several occasions. I believe she may have had the baby with them at the time. She enjoyed our exchanges and I advised her of places to visit in sydney.

It's always so difficult to express my deepest feelings when an Artist I know only through his Art, Records, Concerts, Paintings, aso... Although it's true it can seem weird that I'm really sad and feel real pain. We're all one step closer to the great trip than we just were. Some of us know their loved one/ones are ill and won't stay with us for a longer time.. But it's often always to early. We think we are ready to face these hard moments... but do we really are?
