Wendy and I discovered that I live across the street from her husband’s family in Florida and became friends after I had watched her RU-vid videos for a long time. I just walked across the street to see her husband because I thought this was a mistake. We had our tickets for the Orlando bead show and just made our plans last week. I’m in shock.

I've been so upset all day since hearing the news. Her channel was the first I subscribed to when I started beading. I loved how she was so kind and inspiring and she seemed so full of love. My heart goes out to all of her family, friends, and the people she touched while she was here.

Wendy was one of the first persons I watched to learn to make jewelry. I watched one of her tutorials last night. God has a new Angel by his side. Such a beautiful soul. 😢😢😢😢❤

Such heartbreaking news! Wendy was the first person that I watched on RU-vid to learn how to make jewelry. I’ve been a customer of hers, and a subscriber of her for about 4+ years. I always looked forward to her tutorials. I learned many techniques from Wendy and I am very grateful that I found her. I will miss her deeply. Sending prayers to Chris and her family.

I watched & listened to the service for Wendy Whitman at the Apostolic Life Cathedral, it was, by far, one of the best I have ever experienced, it was sad, but it was also quite uplifting, I watched it in its entirety, we all should keep her in our thoughts as the way that Wendy would have wanted it. She has gone to her home in West Virginia & to her beloved lord in Heaven. The many photos shown of her family & friends, were wonderful to see, I could tell that she did have a very happy positive life, we should all be thankful for that, we need to try our best to always remember Wendy in her many wonderful videos and to always hold her memory close to our hearts, so I hope that (RU-vid) will continue to let us enjoy her videos, it will be a way to feel closer to her, somehow.

God speed, your positivity and creativity will be so so missed. May heaven be filled with beaches and beads. You touched so many of us.

She helped me and many others in their jewellery making journey, she was such a great teacher and she was so kind and generous in passing on her skills to us. She will be so missed. I just heard the news of Wendy Whitman’s passing . In her honor I would like to say my word of the day for Wendy and something she would say to us “ the word of the day is ‘Amazing’ she would also say “The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him.” 2 Timothy 2:11, Wendy was an amazing person who always gave us hope and creativity. I can’t belive this news! I loved watching and learning from her videos but loved even more her words of the day . She truly was an inspiration. To her family I must share my deepest sympathy and can’t even imagine what they are going through, well I sort of can. I lost my husband this year very suddenly and the pain was incredible so I know theirs is the much worse as Wendy was so full of life. Please know we share your pain but know yours is so much worse. Please know how much life and love Wendy’ shared with us all . I still can’t believe this news it doesn’t seem real. The tributes have been beautiful much in the way Wendy was. We have her many videos still to watch but that’s little comfort when you realize these were her last. Much love goes out to her family and many mahy friends . What a tragic loss. She was much loved.

We both laughed at needing glasses and wanting to learn how to ride a motorbike because of our age. Like Erin has said in her comment below, my first response-and I learned of this less than ten minutes ago and kept hoping it wasn’t what it seemed until coming here-was OMG, OMG, OMG, this can’t be real. Wendy-who shared herself and her love of nature and all that is beautiful in the gifts of a God she was/is very close to-was someone I’m sure practically all who watched her videos felt they knew personally. So, even though I didn’t post comments (injuries, long story) I felt the news like a hit to a stomach that came out of nowhere. Persons like Wendy are rare and I’m so sorry for her husband and all who were close to her, and especially her little dog. Thank you Brittany and Luisa for the beautiful memorial. Like everyone, I’m in that numb state of shock, so please forgive my rambling. And, thank you Wendy, for all you gave to us, even those you weren’t aware were learning from and enjoying what you shared with us, especially your joy in God and Man’s creation.
