Really appreciate you breaking everything down so others can see your thought process. Not afraid to be "human" in your mix, encouraging others to learn through their mistakes. Very much like AVB in that you're down to earth and not pretentious about who you are. Great work!
I'm no DJ and I will never be a DJ, but I love to watch your gigs and tutorials. And I think you are the only DJ where I can say without any worries "He is DJing and not using premixed stuff". Thanks for your attitude!
u would be cool if you could make a episode about you using basic decks for all us beginners for with basic mixers and stuff without the effects the equipment gives cause I can not do that with my stuff. it would give an insight for beginners ! love you laidback luke
Amazing!! You are a multitasking man.hhe.. By mixing everything on the fly with only one cdj. You have a perfect memory to remember what songs are fit together. Can't wait to see you if you're playing in Indonesia again..
Ya know what I really like about these videos, it shows that even at your level, you are human. You are super talented and a sick headlining DJ and producer, but with that said you still are human, and can make a mistake, please do not take that the wrong way, mean it with the upmost respect, and it's nice to know that it happens to even the BEST Djs
I remember when I NEED to mix on just one deck of my DDJ-SX at a Party because a clumsy friend of mine empty out his cup over the half of my equipment... But still did mashups, always keep the party goin !
Excited to submit a video application!! Time to start filming:) Laidback Luke before anything, I just want to let you know how much you've inspire me. Unlike other DJ / Producers, you share the love of your passion for others and reach out to your fans...like me:) Ever since I've begun DJing several years ago, I've always looked up to you with dreams to become in the dance music industry performing at major events like you. It is you who've also inspired me to begin posting my passion of DJing on RU-vid as well. You are so humble and incredibly talented in the art of music. It is amazing to see everything you do. Aside from all of the hard work, you still manage to care for family, friends and fans. Excited to see you progress even more in the future to come. Yours Truly, Miguel Gonzales (DJ Migz)
dude, if you're not motivating me, you inspire me. I enjoy your music, and just love your mixing, no matter what it is. I swear, if I ever win the lottery, I would book you for a birthday to blow the roof off lol
how amazing you are taking fans to be with you in shows!! not really experience with vlogging so I back down, DJ for hobby and cross my fingers hope could be a carrier. whoever win I'm happy for you.. can't wait to see the 100th vlog!

Luke, congratulations on being the only one to have a set of the Latest Denon Mixer and XDJ! Big Denon fail on mfr and delivery. How is the Prime Software Compared to Rekordbox? Is it even out yet?
I really hope I can join you on tour. I'm a dj/producer myself and it's my biggest dream to go on tour once in my life because I can forget about all the troubles in my life for a couple of days. I really think I can learn a lot from it. The chances that you see this or that you even choose me to join you on tour are so small, but at least I can try it. Keep up the good work!
Hi Luke I'm a. DJ student (do Djing round about 3 years) form Jake Dile he talk much about you and I looked what you are doing and I watch you Vlogs and all your stuff here on your channel and I think you make a great job it's so nice to see how you perform! Why I would come with you is because I was never on any festival but I want to know how it is for a DJ to stay on the DJ Booth. You are a big inspiration! Dexes
Hey Luke, To start of, it's just absolutely amazing to see how interactive you are with your fanbase. Managing to entertain us whilst your touring from country to country wouldn't be anything but difficult, I'd imagine. I'll be completely honest with you here; I've gotten no experience with vlogging so far whatsoever. I have done somewhat professional video in the past though. I teach myself in all of my hobbies. RU-vid being a very useful helping hand. :) I've learnt video editing, shooting, making DIY camera cranes, making backyard rollercoasters, making music and DJing by myself and RU-vid tutorials (all of these can be found on my channel). Considering the fact that I've got tons of hobbies, I'd say I'm somewhat of an exploring person who tends to find happiness and education in a variety of different things. It would be an extremely cool experience to join you on a tour for two days. I really think it would be very inspirational seeing different cultures and countries and ofcourse the amazing raves you'd provide music for. :D I could defintely see myself being able to write some new tracks by this inspiration. You may have guessed it, but ofcourse the last but certainly not least reason is, to meet you in person. :) You've always been at the top of my wishlist of people I would like to meet and speak about our passion: music. Mainly because you seem to be one of the most humble persons in the scene, as well as being a huge inspiration to me since when I started to write my own tracks back in 2011.
Denon have had the alpha track function for years but it never had the functionality to mix two tracks on one deck due to the single outputs, I am glad to see they have brought it on...loads. It used to be great for tight mixing and short cue times. Still think the biggest challenge will be in my head, not going to the other deck!
The "in my mind" sets give you a sense of how dynamic the DJ environment can be. Depending on how well a DJ can mix and not interrupt the flow, you are living 2 minutes at a time or 30 seconds at a time from track to track. It's such a rush. It takes a serious skill to master a good mix in a live environment.
I really like these because it actually helps me learn more about DJing, good to see how it should be done and then work into my own mixes, thanks Luke!
Its amazing how technology progress this days its really strange to see just one CD player and you mixing 2 tracks with one tempo fader :) AMAzing Luke you are the LEGEND!!!
Awesome!!! You are my favorite dj/producer. I would like to see more techno/melodic house on In-My-Mind series and learn a lot from you, Your a big motivation for me... Techno seems to be easier but because it hasn't a tipical structure it's seems to be complicated for beginners. Keep on going- YOU ARE GREAT 🔥🔥🔥
Good news, just send the first public beta of the Denon Conversion Utility out to the press. Plug a Rekordbox prepared USB thumbdrive in your Macbook, run the utility and use your cues/loops set in RBDJ in Engine Prime as well. Not sure if this will become an released product, still waiting for DenonDJ to answer some questions.
great vid .Love the way you didnt hide and mistakes you make cause you always have to make mistakes if you are a great dj (not one who just transitions edm music like such as garrix).Love the way how you use skill to cover up for mis timigs and stuff.truly one of the best around
Hi Luke,Would it be helpful if play pause button turned same selected colour as playing track/ layer, to help avoid accidental stopping track?I think its fantastic that Denon are giving Pioneer a reality check and a bit of competition! Kudos to yourself and Paul Oakenfold for changing set ups and taking a risk! Much respect.Keep up the great work and fantastic mixing and producing.CheersJames
Damn you Luke, LOL! I think I started liking Denons more after this video! That gives me a chance to be playing on 4 decks for way less money! Tour with you sounds awesome, but I have no vlogging experience :D
