Life would be such an unforgivable burden without music

this was mixed around midnight during a violent thunderstorm. heavy rain was pelting the tin roof as tree branches knocked against the windows. listening to it will always take me back to that beautiful night.

It looks like a lot of good people in these comments are fighting a tough battle. I hope everyone comes out it.

Never played Silent Hill. Seen pictures and videos of it. Couldn't even imagine that this would be its soundtrack. Outstanding.

Everytime I wake up now, I feel like I hear Silent Hill music. I got through a terrible relationship and had to cut ties with someone that I loved (and love still) and it feels strange. Almost like when I look back on the memories, I hear this music and it makes me feel a sadness but also nostalgia. I hope that she finds her peace and I find mine. Its been rough for the past week. Maybe peace will come.

I don't know if I'm weird but, hearing this type of dark ambience music during the late night hours brings me so much peace... like, is a type of peace of mind that I can't have on my day on day basis.

This is why I love music, no matter what genre or where it was made, when sounds and melodies form it creates a magic that can't be justified with words, everyday im grateful I have the capability to experience such beautiful sound like this, without music the world would be greyer than our own imagination.

How many hours I spent in front of this game after school... Nolstagia... Silent hill 2 will always remain a masterpiece of video games, there will be no other games with a story like this, Akira's soundtracks and this setting. We hope that one day Konami will take over this great chapter and make it return to its maximum splendor.

This is bliss

About a week ago, give or take, my (ex)girlfriend broke up with me, I didn't take it personally, and I completely understand her motives as I was a witness of (which I won't go into detail, you can imagine). I was in love with her, I cared for her, and her safety and happiness meant a lot to me, to say the least, I was there for her when she needed me, and she helped me a lot through my tough times as well. A month previous to breaking up she asked for a break for which I expected a breakup at the end of the tunnel, which well, now we're here. For that day I didn't feel anything 'negative' until everything kicked in, delayed, I felt lonely, I felt like I had no purpose, and it took me a while to process and accept; why must I lament for something I can't control, and so, after I told myself those words, whilst listening to Peace & Serenity, I got to work, I got to cleaning the whiteboard of mine with glue residue from love notes, love poems and norwegian words with deep meaning I stuck and felt to heart, I put away the pictures of me and her, and it was then that I faced reality, that I had begun moving on. I have never played Silent Hill or took any interest in the games until I found out about Akira's soothing ambience, which helped me through these times, which helped me soothe cortisol, and which helped me sleep peacefully (as I've had some health complications, making it difficult for me to sleep without a thought). I'm very grateful that though I may have gone through some not-so-preferable times, I've been given this ambience to pacify to, that helped me think clearly; this is not a punishment, but a lesson, and a time to reflect upon myself. Thank you Akira, and thank you JJJ for putting these beautiful tracks together.

A month ago my uncle passed away from suicide and since then I haven’t cried or shown any emotion. Came across silent hill 2 and this soundtrack. I know for early players the influx of the masses into the community can be irritating but this game has helped me so much. I cried at Mary’s letter and born from a wish makes me feel again. I really understand the feeling of absence and it’s helped me come to terms with things. Even though I want to bleach my eyes of watching pyramid head I am grateful for this game.

the entire playlist reminds me how there used to be a Playstation 2 at my Dentist office that me and my brother used to play when we were kids going there, of course the ps2 isnt really there anymore and was replaced with tablets and completely new attire while the rest of the office stayed the same, even though they didnt have any silent hill game for the console there this playlist still reminds me of those times.
