IN RETROSPECT: AIR JORDAN 3 RETRO NRG 'TINKER' 

Love the colourway and the various Tinker H. sketches. Also the swoosh and NIKE wording opposite plus the red-on-white plastic heel/pull tab are definitely the shoes' highlights. It's 2023 and this J3 Retro 'Tinker' and Air Max 90 Bacons are my most fave and must have.

Personally have these, got them on launch day, and love them. It’s like wearing a concept shoe that looks good and is comfortable Loved the review nonetheless and the conversation even more

Had the exact same feeling w these on vs my Katrina 3's. They feel like they have way more padding on the inside almost feels like a skate shoe to me. Super comfortable!

These were easily my most worn shoe of 2018. Still wear them at least once a week. LOVED the concept and still love it. I plan on getting the red ones... unless I happen to land the Whitewalker Ultraboost... Decisions decisions...

I'm bummed I missed these out, and the Justin Timberlake colorway both pairs are super clean and dope.

I loved these from the start. I know for many it was mixed, but first look I wanted these. I recently had to choose between these or the Cement 3s. I went cement. BUT, I have got to get these next!

I love these shoes so much, I actually doubled up on them. I bought a pair on the snkrs app when they dropped I and I lucked out and bought a pair on StockX when the resale price dipped below retail. They were my favorite cop from last year.

I love mine. I bought my pair back in May when I took a trip out to Portland. Brought it back to the hotel room and did a black lace swap. And I just changed it to red laces this past week. I'd love to own the other pairs of Tinker 3s. but I'm not even going to pay the resell prices for the JTH 3s.

I ran across a pair of Kobe Protro 1s the other day at a Nike Factory Store, and they just happened to be the ONLY one available in the store, and in my size--it was destiny.

i actually really like the way the jade tinker 13's look for some reason the colors worked well with the model even though its a basic colorway!

The ones that i liked after poo-pooing them prior are the 3s and 4s. I agree with you, Chris, that the 3 is the best overall to wear casually, so much so that i have two pairs of the Infrared 3s because i like them so much.

I honestly wasn't interested in them until the restock. I thought they were fugly but time was kind. Sketches in 1987 were started literally months after I was born so I thought that was pretty cool. The NA on the tab really makes it for me; major 80s vibe. Great quality too all around.

I just purchased both Katrina's and tinker's last month.. love the 3s.

Jordan 17&18 two models I didn’t like when they first released, but now appreciate them a lot since last years retro release! Will end up with a pair soon. Hope they release the 17 low soon.

I felt the same about these.. Just grabbed a pair today & with the fluffy feel, it the insole.. they used the same as the True Blue 3’s.. I happen to use my TB 3 insole in all of my shoes b/c of the comfort

I LOVE my Tinker 3s!! It's one of my favorite 3s beside the black/cement.I love everything about it from the swoosh to the color blocking...it's SUCH an 80s shoe. That red tab makes it for me...i can see MJ killing the NBA in those. If they release the black pair...I'm def going to have to grab them. The shoe/ colorway that grew on me were the Carmine 6s. My biggest regret was letting them go....to be fair, I was 14. LOL!!

Love the backtab on these don't like that extra bit of grey above the darkened elephant print though

Yeah I have a pair and I like them. The grey mud guard is meh but the shoes as a whole are pretty damn nice. I loved the quality of the leather and the comfort on these too. I swapped out the laces for black ones to tie together the swoosh and the elephant print and it made a big difference to me.

Honest opinion, you should do more vids like these, it's a really interesting concept to take a look back, dope vid!

Nice reviews as always..but better conversations hahaha...I think the first like these projects was the nike air max zero..I remember something that it was like made from sketches from tinker..something like that...it would be nice if they continue to create shoes from old sketches like that..

I like the 15s (black and grey original colorway) because they remind me of piccolo's shoes in DBZ but the collar of his shoes doesn't stick out.

I love 3's but there is one thing about the air jordan 3 that makes it look awesome is that there is no swoosh on the side of the shoe. I would cop these if there were no ugly ass swoosh on the side of the shoe. That being said JB please don't put a swoosh on the 4 or 5's lol....We'll take the swoosh's and the Nike Air badging on those heels though!

I hated these when I first saw the images and they first released but now I don’t they look pretty good in that colorway. Plus the story about the sketches is interesting.

If the “tinker 13’s” had the same tech as the 13’s and had a better fit, I would have messed with them. I agree, they should have gone for the extra tech (forefoot zoom) on those. Also agree that bringing sketches back and making them a reality is an interesting take on the jordan line. 👌🏽 Just a pet peeve, If someone sells a shoe, might as well clean it first. I see the soles are dirty on those, or was it due to you wearing them before the vid?🤔😅
