Hi Christa I love your flower grannies the pastel colours are lovely but what a fabulous idea to make some brighter coloured ones to mix them with then you have a blend of you and your grandma on the chair together ❤️it , I think the grey looks much nicer than the tan too . I do the whip basket too,it help me with my project. Thank for the idea. I love the idea of a driver in your country,I wish us americans had that. We now have uber or something like that,but the driver different every time I guess and it only in bigger cities. I also think it a driver is great for disabled people like me who can't see to drive. Love seeing your town or city.

Christa love the color choices. And you are right the tan warms it up whereas the other option goes with the other cool tones. It may look more subdued in color, but you said yourself that those were her color. I think grandma's chair will look great💖! Luv yah 💕

Hi, Carolyn Coulam!! I know right? It didn't dawn on me either, until I was in a heated debate with professional social workers about the ethic of putting my own children's photos on my own Facebook. ...my settings are private... only friends and family can see.... their point of view? I have no right to use their likeness in ANY online platform. PERIOD. Hated it. Fought them. Thought about it for a good few weeks. Had to concede: short people I birth, or adopt, have the same rights as anyone else. Who knew??? lol HUGS!!

I absolutely love those bright little baskets! I use all kinds of baskets... love them. Not only are they attractive, they are so perfect for keeping projects safe and portable. I just found some at our local Goodwill store. Wicker baskets are great, too?.

What about using the brighter green to join your squares and as a border to finish the whole thing? Then you stick to the feel of your grandma but add a little touch of you to it. 😊

Hi Christa!! Can't wait to see the new yarn!! So I have a tip for refried beans I buy a regular can of cooked pinto beans drain some of the water out, pour them into a frying pan with hot oil, fry them and mash them up, salt to taste and your done!! Less than 5 minutes and they're better than canned refried beans in my opinion 😉

My neighbor puts a dried pepper in the oil to add flavor. Once the oil has warmed up and the pepper has added its flavor she removes it and adds the beans. Mashes them etc.

I have an idea for your cover for your chair. Maybe join the squares with a dark color like navy or gray. That way the others colors would stand out more. Just an idea! And I really think it's great about you blocking your kids face. I never thought about it that. As a mom I can total appreciate that. Good for you!

I had not thought about child protection like that either (my kids = my choice) until I got in an argument with a social worker... she made some absolutely valid points and changed the way I thought. Hi, Amelia Abiola!! So cool! Yes, I have some. But to be honest, the fabric made in Uganda is waxed and nicer than the fabric made in Kenya. So I made some dresses out of Ugandan fabrics. :) xx

You know it chaps my hide when parents think they can do with their children what ever they want, just because they're the parent. I applaud your giving your children the choice, when they become of age to choose for themselves whether they want to be a part of your RU-vid channel or not. I know some parents who blast their children all over FaceBook, and the one time I really caught notice how it affected them emotionally I realized that it was not right. The girl had just gone into junior high and was having trouble with her grades, and her mom made a whole long drawn out post about it all. That young lady was so embarrassed because people would keep stopping her to give her advice or encourage her and other peers would tease her et,,. I know her mom probably meant well, but she should've stopped and thought how her daughter would feel. So again, I applaud your decision to protect your kid's rights! Just wish more parents would.
