Black is my preferred, but I have a pair of medium brown bicycle toe oxfords and oxblood dress boots that I wear with navy, chocolate brown and khaki dress pants
For my "dressier" shoes, I have one pair of oxfords, and 2 different Chelsea, one black one brown. I polish and conditon them once every 6 months. As for other shoes/boots, I have 2 black ones, and one white pair....and my limited edition Hatsune Miku x Fila sneakers lol.
I’m a brown shoe guy. I work in a professional setting, but am in a dusty environment, so the brown is easier to keep clean. Plus, I like the contrast and how the brown looks with the blues and purples I like to wear. The tricky part of brown is matching the shoe color to the belt color.
A ton of great information in this video Antonio! My most versatile dress shoes are my Loake 1080 oxblood brogues, they go with anything from darkwash jeans to chinos to suits. I also own a pair of Cheaney black capped Oxfords, but tbh they have sat in the box since I bought them 6 months ago. I'm planning to get them out of storage & break them in next week as I just took delivery of a beautiful navy chalk-striped double breasted suit today which they will compliment perfectly.
As I am typing this I'm sporting a pair of black penny loafers from Florsheim with a pair of brown chinos. Also I have a couple pairs of black Oxfords from Rockport and Johnston and Murphy's. And I have 4 pairs of dress sneakers from Rockport, Florsheim, and Cole Haans. By the way, Antonio, you are not the only guy who discovered Thursday Boots. I have a black and a brown pair of Oxfords from Beckett Simonon; but so far, I've only worn the brown ones outside the house, mainly because I don't have much occasion to wear a suit these days. I'm looking forward to the debut of the black shoes.

Do you already own the suit? If not, I would recommend that you think carefully about whether you should get a black one. If you're a suit guy with lots of suits, get a black one. If you're like me, you won't get much value out of black. Charcoal or navy suits work for weddings and funerals *and* they work for a large number of business situations (interviews, court appearances, etc.). Therefore, they're a lot more versatile if you're just going to own one or two suits.
@@karlr750 I own a navy suit which i pair with brown oxfords, I don't own a black suit just yet. I do wear suits quite often and in my opinion a black suit would be a nice addition for more formal occasions like a funeral where its more accepted, and you don't have to wear black oxfords with just a suit, it can be paired with other black or gray clothing which makes the outfit more formal rather than brown oxfords which make them look more casual in comparison.
I rarely wear suits or dress shoes but I’ve always stuck with black suits and black suits. I want to get away from black and try brown shoes but I’m not sure what color suit looks great with brown shoes.
Neither. I prefer a light tan color or ox blood. I avoid black shoes at all costs. If it’s brown, it’s going to be a lighter color brown. I bought three pairs of shoes from Thursday boot Company over the last year. One pair I actually had to return because they were of such low quality and craftsmanship. The other two pairs were marginally better. I have their leather soled hand sewn loafer (biscuit) and also their American made Vanguard boot (spice). The actual color of leather on the vanguard boot is much lighter than what shown on their website. It actually resembles their loafer in color. Had a lot of issues with that boot with the edge dressing that was done at the factory. There’s actually black sharpie marker that’s in the leather that has been challenging to remove. they do take polish well and if you put the time energy and effort into it, you can get a good result, but I would not consider them a premium shoe by any stretch of the imagination. They are middle of the road as far as quality shoes goes. Based on my experience. I have several pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes and also Pacific Northwest boots that are much higher quality. I also paid a premium for them as well. One needs to manage the trade-off of what you’re getting versus what you’re paying and is the value there.

All this talk makes no sense. That is, they would have if the shoes were constructed anatomically correctly, only certain sports shoes are like that, all the others denote a lack of knowledge in the realization of a product that fulfills its functions.
@@tudorm6838Mass-produced shoes will never really fit. Every foot is shaped differently as well, so the right shoe will definitely keep your feet comfortable and healthy in the long run.
@@lorenzoreyes8828 From my point of view, I found good shoes, but very, very rarely, even made of leather, but they were designed like sports shoes. However, the appearance was not that of a sports shoe. There are rather a lot of classic or retro models that are not made according to the real shape of the foot.
