Fantastic walk through. I love to see and read the woodland not that I have that much knowledge but I notice a bit. I've always put my hand in these nests. My dad used to do it to demonstrate their behavior. If you do it's cool - just a like pin pricks and then smell your hands and it's full of acid. It looks like Isaac is in his element. Great stuff. Nice walkabout for young Isaac and you. Ants are a fundamental part of the forest ecosystem and examining what they do as well as what they provide in the scheme of Nature can be quite fascinating. A challenge to you and young Isaac: learn how to walk silently in the woods while observing the surroundings intently. Both of you will be surprised how much more alive the woods are.
