Today I decided to head out to the Yorkshire Dales and walk around Malham Dale Malham Cove Malham Tarn and the surrounding area, photographing any wildlife that I came across and especially looking for one particular bird the Peregrine Falcon, that I believe is nesting in the area.
The question is was I able to find the Peregrine Falcons or not you will have to watch the video to find out.
My trip started the night before camping at the Riverside campsite in Malhamdale just on the outskirts of the village of Malham in the Craven district of North Yorkshire.
It was a cold night with clear skies that put a frost on the outside of my tent leaving the door open through the night meant that every time I woke or stirred, I could see the stars above me, I'm being woken up at 3:00 AM by the hooting of an owl made the whole experience a little more interesting.
I was up and out of the tent for 5:00 AM and on the trail heading to the top of Malham Cove where I was hoping to spot Peregrine Falcon and photograph them flying and hunting for their morning breakfast.
A couple of hours later I headed out towards Malham Tarn and around through the woods to photograph any wildlife I could find enjoying my wildlife photography adventure, on a very changeable day one moment it was hot and sunny the next it was cloudy with showers a typical English summer's day.
By the time I completed my wildlife photography adventure walk I had done around 7 miles and managed to come away with a few great photos of the surrounding wildlife and flowers, I was hoping for some insects, but the change in the weather to cold and windy conditions meant that the insects were hiding today.
Still a fantastic day a great hike with some great wildlife photography and until my next adventure I've no idea where I will end up next.

Fantastic bird, the Peregrine falcon. Unfortunately I'm late for trying some photoshoot, and I would make a new photoblind, so maybe it will be for the next year. Greatings from Italy!! Ciao

Hi Ashley. Next time you are at Leighton Moss, might be worth popping over to Warton Crag, just a ten minute drive, as Peregrines are there most years….

Some of the hardest Sport Climbing I have ever done, was at Malham Cove. Those days are long, long behind me. However I will never forget the sound of a Peregrine because once they are heard especially during nesting season, then its "Rain stops play!". There is normally a Peregrine in town this time of year. Hope you remembered your passport as you left Yorkshire. 😀
