Thanks for making these! Got my first bullitt this week. Lizard king bionx electric kit. Sewed up a cargo bag and made a deck plate for it today and working towards making it my own

I agree on the i5 hub. It is shit. It's essentially a three speed. You'll hit the 25 km/h limit with 3rd gear and then it has way too much drag to go any faster on your own power. Also the 1st gear of 38 gear inches is not sufficient even on a normal ebike. That's how high the "low" gear was on mine. I also had 28" wheels and lowest possible ratio. So if you need lower gearing then you're screwed.

Hello, Clement from France. At first thank you for your nice series of videos. I am planning to buy a E Bullitt but I am not sure what to choose between Nexus 5 or Alfine 11. Is the extra gear really important on a electric Bullitt ? Is the Nexus 5 more reliable than Alfine 11 ? And do you know if you can but two batteries for extra range ?

Hi Clement, thanks for reaching out to me. I have an Alfine 11 and from time to time it gets out of gear. It is quite annoying. But this seems a common issue with this gear hub. If you live in a region where it is quite flat the Nexus 5 will do great. From Larry vs Harry you can't get a double battery option. As a matter of fact I've never seen a Bullitt with a double battery system. When I was in Bremen a few weeks ago I drove a Bullitt with this motor and battery pack www.heinzmann-electric-motors.com/en/products/bicycle-wheel-hub-motors/cargopower. It's very powerfull but the battery weighs a ton... So far I have not come across a motor battery combo with a dual battery option. Maybe the guys at Bullitt-bike.de can do it, but I'm not sure. @@BicycleLoveWorld Hi, I will be in hilly region so Alfine seems to be more suitable but maybe maybe you have less jumping gear with nexus. I probably will go for Alfine anyway ;) Thank you for all your informations I am going to check that. Peace Clément

Good morning. I have a quick question... how did he manage to put an Alfine 11 which has 36 holes on a Spoon which has 32... I'm really interested! Did he just buy an alfine 11 with 32 holes? Thank you so much.
