Sali talks to Lily Allen about Lily's new book, relationships, Twitter and gin and tonics in the bath. My Thoughts Exactly by Lily Allen www.waterstones.com/book/my-t...
So much respect for Lily Allen, she's the first to admit she's not perfect - nobody is - but because she's so frank about her shortfalls she takes relentless shit from all corners. I don't know how she can carry on sometimes. Great interview x
Love Lily! So excited to watch. Lily is consistently clever, funny and honest in a way that's so rare nowadays. She sticks her neck out on important issues when she really doesn't have to, either. Thank you Sali!
Just brilliant i love these video's this is one of the best. The press can make or break you, good to see the Lily Allen you don't get to see thank -you Sali Hughes looking forward to part 2 x
I did enjoy this but got the odd feeling Lily was at times quite uncomfortable and reticent. Sali was jollying her along but it did seem ever so slightly strained. More like a Q and A session rather than the conversations I've seen in these segments before. Not a criticism just an observation.
Girl, i missed you last week but you kinda made up for it today! This is my Sat AM skincare/make up routine fix every week . Big love xoxo Edit. On a serious note I so empathise with you both when you discuss how you yearn for the "stable 2.2 kids scenario" to compensate for something missing inside. Luckily we are all now women in our own right and have walked that path and come out the other side, scare n all. xoxo
Excellent interview and camera people well done (no dodgy movements) 😊 a comment for Lilly regarding Richard Ashcroft you too are a white privileged female so that is quite silly to accuse another of the same type. 😊
The reason that Lily Allen is constantly attacked on the internet is simple, Russian trolls. The same troll machines that go after the likes of outspoken women like Kathy Griffin, Rosie O' Donnell (who sorta maybe kinda deserves it but shhhh), etc. are the same ones that go after Lily Allen. It's easy to spot on twitter if you just check the profiles and posting histories of these accounts, I just wish social media platforms would do something about it.
"Wow, that's massive..." Did you actually say that? I watch your videos and read your articles and your message seems to be one of empowerment to all women. Some of these women weigh 14 stone and more...what sort of thing is that to say FFS? I understand that things are said conversationally and nobody is perfect, things slip out, other than nips, but it's disappointing. It's not the first time...during your first Caitlin in the Bathroom video (years ago) you made a series of comments along the lines that women who must wear makeup to leave the house have a mental health problem. Thought that was pretty insensitive and judgemental too.
I remember the comments re mental health and wearing makeup. Something along the lines of women who always have to wear makeup when they leave the house must be mentally ill. Struck a bit of a raw nerve at the time tbh for various reasons. I at the time always wore at least some makeup for confidence yet did not think that counted as a mental health issue particularly. Odd.
Not sure why this is in my recommended.......I only watched it because I don't care much for her, and thought she may have a likeable quality that I had somehow missed........she didn't.
@@blojosh - just my advice , but I suggest you do not believe everything, you read, is in fact, gospel, true - the internet is a good source but not for everything, however I've researched on Lily Allen situation since, interesting to say the least. That's all I'm going to say apart from, there's no smoke, without fire 🤔 and never be embarrassed- it's ok
Elaine Bines I'm really not sure if you understood my comment, but I'll put it into layman's terms for you: I was insinuating that yourself and allaboutdaniel believe everything you read on the internet. Also, why stop there? Back up your comments. Change my mind.
One of the things I enjoy MOST about Sali is that she is not false and gushy with her interviews. She was silly with Claudia Winkelman because that was the tone set. This was a different story. I love how she is straightforward and no BS and small talk. I find it refreshing.
god, the amount of times i've been asked the same question.. yes, Sali does smile, and you've probably seen it multiple times. 1) women are not required to smile 24/7, 2) if her normal resting face and her general demeanor bother you - you're looking at her at the wrong angle.
