This will be a very helpful Aramaic series, comparing the Hebrew to all the targums. Once the right people get a hold of this, this video series will become popular. A lot of people are hungry for something like this. Thank you and blessings!

Shabbat Shalom Brother 😊 i am big fan of this interlinear style from The Hebrew, The Targums and the Syriac Peshitta. it is my sincere hope that you will continue these very important lessons in the same interlinear fashion with Genesis 1:2 thru Genesis 50. 😊 i would love to hear your thoughts in regards to B'Reshit being translated as within the House of the Firstfruits. for me Breshit seems to reference a Feast Day and the Redeemer who did the Wave Sheaf Offering to his Father on the Day of his Rising. Seems to tie in with the Verse from Yochanon...In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God...😊

Very interesting, do you know if Genesis 1:1 text in the Dead Sea Scroll fragments 4Qgenb and 4Qgeng are identical to the later Masoretic Text? I also wonder if Psalm 33:6 plays a connecting role in all of this? "By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host". John's prologue seems to serve as a targumic interpretation of Genesis 1:1-5. Colossians 1:16-18 also provides a midrashic interpretation of the initial word in Genesis 1:1 linking it with wisdom in Proverbs 8:22. Meanwhile, in Genesis Rabbah "wisdom" is understood as the "Torah."

It's interesting, huh? I'm sure there are theological reasons beyond whatever phrase was familiar for the region. Too many implications.

[libationes deis algorithmi] Seeing the Pešitta OT is essentially a targum is an interesting view! I look forward to the day I order the Pešitta from Amazon and the vendor _doesn't_ cancel my order. That'd boost my Lenten readings :D

thank you so much professor Michael . just a remark regarding the word elohim in targum jonathan : you said that the writer used kof instead of heh , but in my humble opinion its just another name of God you certainly know about : القيوم in arabic , i like to know what is your opinion about that , again thank you very much for your efforts .

Thank you for the feedback Mohamed! It is an interesting proposition, however the case of Elohim [אלהים] being rewritten as Eloqim [אלקים] is fairly recent. The other issue with the Arabic term القيوم, is that the root of القيوم is from QWM, meaning to stand with the Arabic definite article ال on the front. I like the way you're thinking though! Those are the types of connections that the sages look for.

The Old Testament was written in Biblical Hebrew and it's translation in Aramaic Makel no sense. In that Original Language is said: In A Beginning, not In THE Beginning and it makes great difference. That's what I mean. The New Testament was written first in Aramaic, as it was given and then translated in Greek, because of the "lost sheep" if Israel , who lost the good knowlege of hebrew. The Half of the NT was put in the hands of Apostle Paul, who was as well born in Greece. JESÚS send him first in Athen - that's where his Mission began. Thank you!WhatsApp you do is really great! To explain the Original Text of the New Testament! Not much People can do that!

There is ONE problem here: IT is not IN THE BEGINING , but In ONE Begining...

Say more for the readers if you can. Do you mean that the word "one" is present in these editions or do you mean something else?

How many BEGINNINGS does GOD have is not given in The BIBLE , because is not of Our Business to know that NAW.
