In The Dark 4x13 "Please Shine Down on Me" Season 4 Episode 13 Trailer (Series Finale) - SERIES FINALE - Murphy (Perry Mattfeld) copes by distracting herself with a new motivation: getting even. @@thesupport4963 .. The only reason I started watching was because the actress who played Murphy's mom is also a singer.. one of her albums is on my "favorite albums of all time" list .. lol.. I watched from season one through the finale and was always surprised and disgusted by their actions and penchant for getting themselves in deeper and deeper.. it's just too bad it ended like that... but if you're interested in great music.. I highly recommend the album *Wicked Little High* by Bird York (aka the actress Kathleen York who played Murphy's mom)

I love that Felix reminds Murphy that she’s never actually killed somebody but Josh deserves it but who knows maybe in the dark will surprise us for a series finale

The series finale proved only one thing, Murphy could not be redeemed. She’s back to where she started. Smoking and drinking; has another friend fool to carry her (Felix instead of Jess); single and miserable..

@Johnny_Doe totally agree. For us to have an entire show and then for it to come full circle with Murphy actually committing murder just doesn’t sit right to me. Yes I do think Josh deserved to die, but I don’t believe it should’ve been Murphy who did it.

@@davidgregory2001 It kind of was. I still have so many unanswered questions myself. But especially what ended up happening with Jess. It feels like she wasn’t even mentioned at all in season four. She was such a big part of Murphy’s life you would figure they would want to bring her back for the last episode. I also want to know what happen with the other characters like Darnell and Lesly. I’m assuming they all just end up moving on with their lives to.

But of course we’re never gonna know if Murphy ends up getting away with the death of Josh. Obviously they’re gonna tie it back to her. So can we just assume that she ends up getting away with it? Eventually they are going to discover that he’s missing and find his body in that cabin.

Josh went somewhere where there were no cell service now Murphy n Felix gone in the wind r.i.p max Murphy killed the person that stopped u two from getting married It's funny at the funeral nobody wanted anything to do with Josh I think in some type of way they knew Josh was part of the reason max was dead n Murphy was in pain even Darnell wanted to put hands on him

I feel like this season really made it feel like they were running around in circles. Every time Murphy got her way out of trouble she finds her way into deeper trouble and ruining more and more lives along the way. It didn’t make sense for her to kill Josh. As much as she loved Max, I don’t think it was enough for this to become her villain origin story. Honestly it’s just presumed that she’s going to be a fugitive and will be on the run with Felix until they both inevitably get caught. Even if Max had survived, I don’t think Murphy could have stayed loyal in their marriage for the long run regardless of how much she loved him. People go to the ends of the earth for this woman while receiving nothing in return. Especially Felix. If they ended the show as Murphy becoming an actual drug king pin I think it would have been more acceptable than ending it with her turning into a murderer. Overall, disappointing season and ending.

I t made perfect sense. That idiot chased her, ruined her life, got the love of her life killed and went to the funeral to laugh at her misery. Oh, he got what he deserved and I was so happy about it!

It did not make sense, Josh didn't deserve to get killed especially not by Murphy. She might not have killed anyone but ruined everyone she got in contact with. The best end to the series would be deciding not to kill Josh, knowing he would live with the guilt of Max's death. It got so toxic , it wasn't entertaining nor plausible. This season ruined a great show.

What I wish would have happened is they turned him in & at the end it shows him going through trial & Josh going to prison. While Murphy, Felix and his sister all sit together for dinner or something with her dog.

It does not deserve it, It got to the point were there was no redeeming quality or light in Murphy, the last was never killing anyone but she snuffed that out. Josh was an obsessed psycho but didn't deserve to die, especially not by Murphy.

The writers worked the finale all wrong. It made Murphy a miserable character with vengeance and death in her heart, even though Josh deserved it. This could have been done in a different way to make Murphy more sympathetic to viewers. Instead many story strings were left dangling. My verdict, unfortunately: 👎... ♐

I guess they probably figured it would be a satisfying ending for viewers. Since Josh was the reason why Max died. And since Max was such a lovable character it only makes sense that they would want to get revenge on Josh.

It made her the Villain, she ruined the lives of so many people and caused the deaths of many, just like Josh. In that way, she deserved as well. That last season was not.

Heartbroken Max died. Please bring show back. Reprise Max's character to emerge from secret protection whole recovering. I felt his demise when he wanted to marry Murphy right after the last event and show the suit button. 😭

I’m glad they ended it! It ended well, she got her revenge, Josh turned into something he wanted her to be, he paid the price for it though, they drove away. I was sort of hoping she woke up from a bad dream though and Max actually survived. But her name is Murphy and nothing ever works out, aka Murphy’s law (if anything can go wrong, it will). It needed to end otherwise they would just keep going in recycled circles. If they had season 5 then I would have not wanted her to kill Josh, but since it’s ending, I’m sort of ok with it. He was a horrible character 😂. I am super relieved non of the doggos characters got hurt! 😅

Max should've lived would've made sense if phelix took the bullet to prove his true love towards Murphy so she can be happy and then josh somehow in another clip trying to outrun Murphy vendetta ends up dead somewhere mistakenly but i think they were planning another season but the budget was too high and the ratings were dropping

I love this show but I really didn’t like the ending. I literally didn’t get one ounce of satisfaction from Josh dying. I wish they would have got Murphy & Felix go get the confession out of him & then the ending would be Gean arresting Josh & Josh going through trial & goes to prison. The ending would have also been nice to see Felix, Leslie, Darnell & Murphy and her dog all enjoying a dinner together. Like none of us wanted Murphy to become a murder a thing she’s been trying all season to convince people she wasn’t. Also I wish she would have told Josh “for the record I never even killed Nia, it was actually Jess” And then to see the look on his face of how much he believes Murphy did it but she actually never did.

I hate when she actually become a real killer as all this begin to find who murder her friend and get justice. Ironic. I hate the ending. If I know this is the end, I will never follow from beginning. She already put an end to the 3 giant drug king. She should be promote or something. But she put as murder, as the murder happen as self-defenses. Then her almost see light , make peace with her past and will get marry. But her fiancé being killed? hate this story. Even Jess not coming to his funeral. 🙄Get revenge is not happiness, it make big dark hole in you heart.

The finale could've been Max and Murphy planning their wedding and years later, they live together and have a child. But, nope. Update: And Jess reappears at the wedding to get arrested out of nowhere, in everyone's shock.
