I luv that to! Actually it clearly spoke volumes about who he really is in his heart + it reveals that he is thinking absolutely correct because I am relatively new to this channel I knew nothing about him in that statement about always being some one there to pick you up if you fall outside as to falling inside if there is no one home but you so see even at 95 he is still helping people I have been reluctant to get a wearable safety devise but now I am going to get one 💪🏻😎🤗✅💝so thank you

That is a very good idea. My Dear One has dog tags with all his medications surgeries etc. on it, but has given up wearing it recently...oh well, I am usually with him now and so hopefully I could help.

Have his Doctor pound on him (that way, it's not YOU, wink, wink), via a direct phone call, MyChart, email?? I read the comments, so you're not alone... we are on your side. 👏 As you know, the key is to let them/men think that it is THEIR IDEA, right? He is still "THE MAN", the young buckaroo in his mind... especially as Alzheimer's sets in. Men can be stubborn headed. Your hubby is such a jewel. Give him a huge hug from a huge fan from somewhere near Seattle for me, ok? Tell him that some Major Old Lady sent the hug... all the way from Seattle. Love you! So glad that I ran across your channel via a YT suggestion. ⚘🙏❤🙏⚘

@@lifewithsandrahart Is it possible to go on a day trip, in the car, rent a cabin mid-week (lower rates) or Air B&B a few hours away, a local ferry/Tour boat (on the water?), or have lunch at a great restaurant a few hours away, visit a local/State or National Park that you two have never been to before, try a new journey experimenting in the kitchen with International Cuisine, pack a picnic lunch and hit the road at a local park -> in the next town, cooking together, have him do some chopping/prep/sauteing, engage him, do some "Hidden Pictures" or Word Search books together, taking turns? Some come in large print. Dollar Tree/Dollar Store/Dollar General. These small steps actually fire up the brain cells, new material, new brain connections. Medically proven, as I'm sure you know... Aka, get out of the daily rut/routine. Does wonders for the soul, heart, spirit and brain. Love you and yours. My older brother suffered a severe closed-head injury when I was 21 and he was 23 on his second Military Tour. He is 3/4 paralyzed on one side of his body (including tongue) and tested median acuity of between 8-13. It was 1981. He turned 63 this summer, so you have my heart about what it takes to allegedly "manage/navigate the details". It's tough! Many prayers, sweetheart.

Just love you wonderful people. Please,please,please Arthur, wear your alert system. Think of it as an insurance, just in case you trip and there aren’t any people around to help you. I’m sure it would give Sandra peace of mind. So do it for her if nothing else. I hope you get to cruise real soon. We are in lockdown where I live in outback Australia. I really thought we escaped this awful virus but it’s not to be. It seems to be breaking out everywhere, so depressing. I have a week old grandson that I can’t cuddle. Watching you both cheered me up, thank you 😘😘

Wonderful 88 f let the sun shine in , the cactus behind Arthur looks like a Dragon Fly . Really enjoyed your chat in the garden , Liam is adorable. That’s quite the age range of grandchildren Sandra. Loosing our friends is such a difficult transition, it is more difficult to make new ones as we age , I’m so grateful Bill is still golfing great place to meet new friends and get him out and a lovely place to meet friends. So glad Arthur is on the mend. My husband and I understand how Arthur feels about our country, especially since he is a veteran who fought for our freedoms. I don't blame him for wanting something natural like whipped cream to make the ENSURE more palatable. it tastes like chemicals and is loaded with synthetic vitamins which the body cannot absorb, as well as high fructose corn syrup, which is terrible for the brain. A good alternative to ENSURE are smoothies with nutritional yeast, frozen fruit & greens - much better for the brain as we age. God bless you both!

Awww lovely to see you both. Just to say my mum kept falling and it was her low blood pressure. The Dr made her drink Fluids regulary and before getting up and if going out take a drink with her with a tiny bit of salt in - it seems to have worked. He said it's called postural hypotension. But Arthur you naughty lad, wear your devise :) You both look great x

Hi Arthur! I'm 66 and I wear a device. I do it because I'm a Type1 diabetic. If my blood sugar would go too low I would need help. I keep mine clipped on my pants pocket. It's a huge help! You never know when you might need it. It gives me peace of mind. It's so good to see you Arthur! :)

I don’t know if this will be useful but I had dizziness as I had a magnesium deficiency. I also got leg cramps and broken sleep which apparently can also mean magnesium deficiency

After doing a deep dive into mg myself, I’d say most ppl are deficient in it! To varying degrees, esp diabetics. I’m glad you sorted it out 👍🏼

Leg cramps? I used to get them almost every night. Very painful. First thing? A glass of water (hydration) then walk it out, do some mild calf stretches holding onto the door jamb or the edge of the bed, bathroom countertop. Any stable object. Leg cramps are usually a result/symptom of the LACK OF: Magnesium, potassium, hydration, stretching, lack of activity, age. A high quality daily multivitamin supplement works amazingly. Doing a 3-5 minute calf/body stretches b4 bed, as well. It releases lactic acid buildup in muscles, and helps your muscles relax for a better night's sleep. Yay, lol. Can toss a banana in a smoothie, cereal, oatmeal, a PB and banana sandwich on WW. Fastest banana bread on the planet? 2 slices of WW bread on a paper towel, slice the banana lengthwise on one side, top w the other slice of bread, and Voilà. Instant banana bread. Can also toss w some chopped walnuts, raisins, pecans, a tiny bit of honey, low-suger jam or jelly, some canned cranberries, jelly or otherwise. Small bowl of PB? Toss in a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg and/or cloves? You will be hooked. I make my own mix of these 3 spices. Very healing to the internal body. It goes in cereal, Cheerios, fruit smoothies, my protein shakes, oatmeal, any semi-sweet breads, french toast egg mixture, etc. Yum. Actually broke my right forearm bones a 5 years ago. Age 55, packing to move. Immediate pain and swelling. Off to the Hospital. B4 I left, I made the PB and banana sandwich, grabbed a diet root beer from the fridge, dumped them in my purse and drove myself to the hospital, bc I knew it would be a long wait, right? A small baked potato w fat-free plain Greek yogurt, a pinch of bacon bits and chopped chives/green onions, some freshly ground black pepper, easy on the salt, is loaded w dairy, potassium. Heating up a can of soup or stew? Nuke a small potato, let it cool, and chop or hand squeeze it in the pot. If your kidneys are compromised, end-stage Renal function, etc., consult w your Physician b4 upping potassium! I am not a doctor, but I had a neighbor who was on dialysis 3x per week for 4 hours. I'd take dinner over, and we'd watch tv together. He couldn't have bananas or baked potatoes. Too much potassium. Hope this helps, from your eternal sister in Christ somewhere near Seattle. ⚘🙏❤🙏⚘

I love your interviews with your beloved Arthur. So fun to listen to the stories and your life together. Didn't that intern put a pain killer before he stapled Arthur's head together? Yikes that would be painful. I cracked my head this spring in Pensacola on vacation and they put staples in as well as pain killer. Not fun if they didn't do that for your hubby.
