Deep in the wood, a lonely fairy longs for someone to bless.
But when she’s summoned to the palace to help the princess sleep, her dream turns into a nightmare and her blessing becomes a curse. Fairy is plunged into a frantic, hundred-year quest to somehow make everything right.
Rosalie Craig plays the Fairy in this vividly original retelling of Sleeping Beauty that goes beyond the waking kiss.
Rufus Norris directs with music by Jim Fortune, book by Tanya Ronder, lyrics by Rufus Norris, designs by Katrina Lindsay and choreography by Jade Hackett.
Hex played in the Olivier theatre from 4 Dec 2021. It returns in a new production for Christmas 2022.

I had the absolute joy of seeing this on stage and it was just stunning! I really hope we get a soundtrack released with Lisa Lambe and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt. This version is lovely but those two just absolutely blow it out of the water. Honestly some of the best vocals I have ever heard on stage. Just such a stunning piece. Xx

I have no idea what the musical is about but I saw "Hello" and needed to know more. When I heard Fairy's first line, I laughed. Then I read the description and her pleading for Queenie to feed her child. The mood changed and tears started to form. Wow. Just a few lines can change everything.

Hi team! I watched the December 10th Friday 7pm show, I would love love to know the substitute for Queenie that night! She was amazing that night. Truly captivated me and so humbling to see even when the director said she may need a script in between scenes.... she was magnificent. I am truly inspired by her performance!!!
