I am now 55 and Muhammad Ali was my childhood " Hero " ..after my parents divorced when I was 14, this little Italian kid from Pittsburg, Ca. was INSPIRED by this man and what he said and did ! I loved him with Howard Cosell too , so funny ! GOD BLESS Joe Frazier too ! This was a classic time in my lifetime !

I remember getting up at 4 o'clock in the morning, and watching Ali fight. He was the greatest fighter ever. There has not been anyone like him, and I don't think there ever will be.

Remember Him after the Olympics when He entered Boxing Professional. I was only a kid, and I wasn't even interested in Boxing. That was about to change, along with Boxing forever I remember the "Thrilla" from a Television in a Bar in La Jolla Ca, where I was enjoying a Band, but everything stopped to become mesmerized by this yet to become Historical Moment. My Wife has a Photo of Herself with Ali, taken at the Atlanta Airport, which He was gracious enough to pose for. A true Champion, the Greatest, and I feel fortunate to have shared his Time of living. What a Beautiful Human.

I mean , they are all very significant to that era ... Joe Frazier .... George Foreman ... Ken Norton ..... I mean , they were all champions with Ali .... They were all worthy matches ..... I think each of their names are to be reflected along with Ali , when even mentioning Ali .... These individuals made the era of time so interesting .... As much as Ali is loved .... they themselves , for some reason in my Mind, share along with the glory that was Ali .... There is love for each one of those bowing opponents , along with Ali , the main ingredient of that era and scene.... To be in the presence of Joe Louis evens means more than it would , I think , because of Ali , even if Joe might have been , and actually was for the moment , Champion without Ali .... Muhammad Ali was just so lovable , to me ... Brilliant .... Humorous in his seriousness and meaningfulness ..... Mohammed Ali took such a dirty sport and made it so clean when he was in the picture .... And he was so right about himself ... His ‘conceit’ was actually accurate . I believe it was really just confident in a sacred knowledge rather than conceit . His confidence was lovable , not hated . He had so much love and Humanitarianism to his confidence , I think .... And that was why he could not be hated , I think .

He left behind him an entire generation of folks who were mesmerised by everything he did and said. Such people are an once in a lifetime event. (For me, it's impossible to watch this & not think of Kanye. Part of Muhammad Ali's greatness, IMO, is that he searched & found both boxing & his Muslim faith. Both were his teachers. Both gave him strength, self-discipline, insight, purpose, knowledge, joy, hope, peace. Kanye has music, but he needs to find his other teacher, like Mohammad Ali did.)
