This reminds me of the best time in my life. We had horses in our farm, thanks to my dearest father. We used to ride and had so much fun in our farm. Unforgettable days which forever remind in my heart. Unforgettable. Thank you my beloved dad.

I bet the horses enjoy this trip as much as the people. It's so natural for horses to follow each other herd style through a trail they know well !! A beautiful tradition !!

This is an amazing documentary….I love how this young man is striving to keep his community and family steeped in tradition and unity. We have a similar tradition on the Mescalero Apache reservation in southern New Mexico….to bring the community together, spotlighting the youth of the tribe, as we band together in a blessing run that encompasses a relay run of over 150 miles in one day. We pass blessing bags to each other all along the way and stop to pray at sacred spots along the way. The whole community gathers at the feast grounds up by the school for the end of the run and we pray again as we celebrate the unity of the day. We feast and dance for two nights, it brings everyone together as we give thanks and bless the land that sustains the tribe. I hope more tribes and communities reach down deep inside to find ways to connect our youth to the land and traditions that bind us all to our creator.

Hi Pacen.I saw you and your Friends on the Valley of Horses.I Was/Am You.i am 64 now but i grew up with my pony Heidi and then my horse McGee. Pacen.i write to you for your words hit my heart.You are a fine young man to know the horses need our love and protection.In america they are Cruel.it is only last 20 yrs i have seen change. And it IS Good.For they have as much right to be loose as a buffalo, elk mountain goat. it is GREED.Stay.Stay with horse and those good people.Things are coming to an end.My McGee was 33yrs old.I had him since he was 2.He taught me so Vry Vry much.We would walk side by side.McGee was better than a dog.The Secrets we would Tell.We even rode under the full moon.So i go.Maybe i was a horse or will be nxt time.Here are the words my Irish Granma said.but i think all good horses and people know.May the Road Rise Up to Meet You. And the Wind be at Your Back... kat,ct.

Outstanding!! The first time I was ever welcomed into a circle and felt this beauty was by a group of children and their horses on a Tsilhqot'in ranch when I was just 5 years old. Decades later, I took a healing journey guided by Creator, ancestors and all my relations which lead me back to the T'silhquot'in where I was reminded of all that had reached my marrow, cells, sinew, spirit and soul... And full circle healing was made possible. This film moved me to tears. I'd love to take my grandchildren, nieces and nephews who live on urban reservations or off reserves in the cities so they will always know where their hearts beat strongest, smiles are widest and spirits thrive. Thank you for sharing this sacred medicine in a good way.

This film was so incredibly beautiful, very educational, for all... especially the children... and it was so deep rooted in Spirituality, to a Nation that is so embedded with Mother Earth!!!! We could learn a few of lessons, from this “cast”, down here in the States and how we could save our Wild Horses and Burros!!!! Thank you so much for Sharing, it sure was Beautiful, in So Many Ways!!! 💖🐴💖

Beautiful film and commend the people involved with not just introducing the younger generation to the Flora and Fauna but to the horse I do not know of any animal that has contributed more towards the shaping of any new frontier or the defense of a nation, than the horse. His contribution has now somewhat been over looked and nearly forgotten, as this world rapidly changes. More and more, we are growing accustomed to viewing young horses just standing in pastures enjoying the life of Reilly and even neglected. Less than one hundred years ago the horse was one of the most important tools used both domestically and for War. Without question, a well schooled horse is always ready to give you his very best under all conditions. In a way, I regard, a horse's schooling very much like that of a young person. Much like the youngster starting his education from early schooling and progressing to high school. If you are prepared to invest time in the training of a young horse, you will watch your horse transform from a simple masse into a well disciplined animal that will strike anxiety into the hearts of any person.One can say why do I have to inject so much schooling into a horse? My answer is that when you have such deep love and passion for a horse and the pursuit of building or as some old timers say ''Making most'' with a fine young project, you will find, there is nothing finer than riding a finished horse. A horse that you can say graduated from the school, has fully mastered and perfected his schooling. Your horse is correctly balanced in all forward and lateral extensions. By that I mean carrying his head and neck with the proper flexion, has his hocks engaged so they are placed well under his body, supple, and he is light in hand. This training will be a constant upward physical contribution on your part and not easy. But when you achieve these goals, you will feel rewarded and now ready to enjoy the hard work that you have put into your ''finished'' project.

I was crying whet I was watching this film. It's amazing work! The thing is that I feel that I born in wrong place, and hole my life, from 5-6 years I told everyone that I want to live in Canada. And when it was a time to choose what I want to study - I choose a filmmaking. I think there is no better thing for me as work as filmmaker in places like this… I also work at moment as horse groom in Swiss, next year I will go with my dog in The UK to study filmmaking. There is one phrase, which I told everyone, who as me why I choose this way - I want to show a world to the world.

Yah, because that makes more sense? There were times they did walk with them, and spent time grooming and petting them. Not sure what your getting at, but how about if you make a week long trip across B.C. and just walk with a horse and not ride it? Then come back here, and delete your ridiculous response to the film.
@BrodyYYC

@@msdee7444 well 2 things can be true at the same time. Their comment was ridiculously dumb and I if I had to walk a horse for a week long trip across B.C I would still love it.
