the next scenes are funny one, thenext day morning she got a big portion of meal, then later she went for check up and was not pregnant and her dinner was like just a soup.

This movie touched me deeply and I grew to care about Suzu. They do a great job of giving her an innocence and a pure heart. This is one of those few movies that has ever shocked me (in a good way). This hardly ever happens that it pulled on my heart-stings! Bravo! I always wondered why she never conceived.

if you love this movie, try the Tale of Princess Kaguya. It might not have the same feel but it packs one hell of an emotional punch.

It could be due to a lot of things like the stress she's been dealing with or the food she's been eating (or amount of it). Her husband mentions she's been looking thin and getting bald spots, so I think it could be a combination of the rationing and stress.

Which gave me the weird realization that they've had sex before... I know, it's so weird to feel weird about it since they're married and it's the 1940's, you'd think it'd be obvious.. but... Can't help it. They just seem so innocent XD

すずさん色気のある可愛い顔立ちだからお洒落したらきっと映える。タイムマシンがあったらお二人を現代にお連れして私と主人の服とか母の着物とかの中から一番似合うものを着て髪型とメイクもコーデに合わせて施してデートさせてあげたい。それにしても「えらい白うなって」て…（笑）周作さん。あなたに会うからお化粧したんですがな（笑）

well, it's not. They met in Hiroshima and the bridge they met is called Aioi Bridge. It was the target point of the atomic bomb. That's why the author chose it. This clip takes place in Kure, the city where they live in. The bridge is called Koharu Bridge. It's near Kure navy port. In the final scene, they came to the same bridge where they met. Suzu visited her sister in Hiroshima and Shusaku came to pick up Suzu. Kure is about 15 miles away from Hiroshima
